National Parks Pass S
ummer is the perfect season to hit the road and explore the outdoors. Many of America’s national parks are in peak season during the summer months. Tour all the nation’s recreation areas with the America the Beautiful National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass – an opportunity for big adventure and big savings. For just $80, this annual pass gives you entrance to more than 2,000 federal recreation sites throughout the country. That includes the Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Zion and so much more. Each pass can have up to two owners, so you can share use with a significant other, family member or friend of your choosing. As a bonus, your pass covers entrance fees for you and your passengers in areas that charge per vehicle, or up to four adults where fees are per-person. With entrance fees typically $35 and up, you’re saving a bundle with the annual pass. If you’re not an outdoor person but you know someone who is, consider gifting them a parks pass.
In addition to the National Park Service, passes can be used at The Forest Service, Fish and Wildlife Service, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation, and US Army Corp of Engineers at sites where entrance or standard amenity fees are charged. Your pass does not cover expanded amenity fees for recreational activities such as camping, boat launching and special tours. You can purchase an annual pass in any of the following ways: • On-site at federal recreation areas • Online at the U.S. Geological Survey website: store.usgs.gov • By phone: 1-888-275-8747 When buying on-site, it’s recommended to call ahead and verify that the location still has passes available. If ordering by phone or online, be sure to plan ahead. Your will receive a physical pass via mail within 5-10 days of purchase. Military personnel are eligible for a free annual pass and discounts are available for seniors aged 62 and up. Passes are valid for 12 months from date of purchase, which means you’ll be covered through next summer, too! Whether you’re visiting the sparkling waters of Crater Lake in Oregon, driving the scenic routes of Montana’s Glacier National Park or witnessing the wildflowers in bloom in Yellowstone through Wyoming and Montana, you will no doubt make amazing memories and learn more about the diverse landscapes of America. Don’t forget to travel with photo identification, which will be required at park entrances to verify pass ownership.

FLAGSTAFF REAL ESTATE SNAPSHOT DATA REFLECTS NORTHERN ARIZONA MLS FROM JANUARY TO AUGUST 2021. Summer in Flagstaff is warm and the real estate market is hot! During the first part of 2021, the average sold price of a single family detached home was $699,796. Last year during this same period the average price sold was $599,030. The increase year over year is a whopping $100,766. So far this year, 634 homes have sold, and the average sold price per square foot is $308 and was only $249 in 2020. The average days on market is only 67 days and last year was 117 days. Homes are selling more quickly and for more money per square foot. The current sale-to-list price ratio is 103% which means that on average sellers are receiving 3% more than the listing price. The average sold price of an attached home - condo or townhouse - is $399,993 this year and was $349,895 last year. The increase year over year is $50,098. Average days on market is 58 days compared to 109 days last year. The average sold price per square foot is $280 versus $236 last year.
