Welcome back to the Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium for tonight’s game against Bohemians! We’d like to take this opportunity to also welcome Alan Reynolds back to the Brandywell along with his staff, players, and the officials and supporters from who have travelled up from Phibsborough this evening. You’re all very welcome. Well, we’re still unbeaten after one win and one draw, but then so are tonight’s opponents Bohemains, so something has to give here tonight! The big difference being though, Bohemians have yet to concede a goal, whereas we’ve conceded four in just two games! We’ve looked very good going forawrd so far this season, but we need
to tighten up at the back if we’re to continue to get results. Bohs opened their campaign at the Aviva Stadium this season in a game that ended 0-0 with St Pat’s. But a convincing 4-0 win last week against Sligo Rovers has put them one place above Derry City in the table in second place. Let’s hope we can keep the unbeaten streak tonight! Enjoy the game!

MESSAGE FROM THE MANAGER
I’d like to welcome the management, players and supporters of Bohemians to the Brandywell tonight ahead of our third league game of the new season. We’ve taken four points from the two opening games; showing real character in both to keep going right ‘til the end. Obviously we don’t want to be playing catch-up every week, so it’s important that we try to get on the front foot as much as possible tonight. As a manager you can’t be overly content so far because we obviously wanted to take maximum points from those games. While I felt we probably did enough to win both of them, we certainly have something to build on now.
that Shea Callister acquitted himself well in Brian’s absence.
the game full of confidence after a very impressive win in Sligo last Saturday.
Shea is still only 19 and that was his first ever senior game. Considering he only found out on the morning of the match that he was playing, there were plenty of positives in his performance and we’ll have no difficulty putting him in again.
They looked really good going forward and it’s a threat that we’re well aware of.
It’s no secret that we’ve been hindered by the loss of Brian Maher after his long run of consecutive appearances came to an end last weekend.
Once again, our support was absolutely huge on Friday night and while I don’t want to sound like a broken down record, that’s the lift that our fans can give us.
Brian has a hand injury that will keep him out for several weeks, but I thought
Tonight is another very difficult task- Bohs come into
4
It’s also a game the players are looking forward to however, and with another big, noisy crowd behind us, we’ll be doing everything we can to pick up three massive points. Enjoy the game!
Tiernan Lynch, Manager
