Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Denton County has partnered with Denton Parks and Rec to encourage outdoor socialization and movement.

Dementia Friendly Nature Walk Join Dementia Friendly Denton County with an Elm Fork Master Naturalist as a guide.

An eight-week program. An agent will lead the outside education and walking class. Locations vary.

Meet up in a new park each week for a walk on a paved path for exercise, education, and sensory simulation. Caregivers are required to attend.

Tuesdays beginning in March 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Wednesdays beginning in April 10:30-11:30 a.m.

Quakertown Park Trail of the Trees

Live Oak Trail, .37 mi | Pecan Trail, .5 mi | Cedar Trail, .83 mi Trail of the Trees in Quakertown Park has several trail access points, including the Denton Senior Center, Denton Civic Center, and Emily Fowler Library parking lots. In-park signs are posted throughout the park.
