BEFORE / AFTER Operation Triage is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing assistance, resource coordination, and support to Veterans and their families during emergency or hardship situations. Operation Triage responded to assist a citizen at 2625 Hillshire, Deer Park, TX. Their team acted promptly and professionally, offering support that helped the veteran to get back into city compliance, which in return not only helped him, it also helped the betterment of the neighborhood. Operation Triage’s efforts demonstrate a strong commitment to public service and effective collaboration in support of the Deer Park community.

UPCOMING EVENTS - JANUARY 2026 January 9th “National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day” founded in 2015. “To thank officers across the country for all the daily sacrifices they make for their communities. Concerns of Police Survivors, the FBI National Academy Associates, the Fraternal Order of Police, the International Association of Chief of Police, the Officer Down Memorial Page, Law Enforcement United, the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, International Conference of Police Chaplains, National Troopers Coalition only name a few of the long list of organizations supporting inaugural day of National Law Enforcement Officers Appreciation Day. Since then, nationwide many more organizations have joined forces to support National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day (L.E.A.D.) to spread encouragement and respect to these dedicated men and women.”
Citizen’s Police Academy Class 52 – Starts February 26, 2026 We are currently accepting applications for our Citizen's Police Academy Class 52. If you want to learn about the inner workings of the Deer Park Police Department this is your opportunity. Classes start Feb. 26th so get your application in early to secure your spot. This is a FREE 14-week program on Thursday evenings, 6-9p for anyone 18 years of age or older and those who live, work or attend school or church in the City of Deer Park. UPCOMING EVENTS - JANUARY 2026 Identity Theft Prevention Identity theft happens when someone steals your personal information and uses it for financial or other gain. Nearly 1 in 20 Americans are affected by identity theft each year, according to Experian. Identity theft victims can be affected financially for a very long time, which hinders your ability to obtain a credit card, buy a car, or get a loan for a house. The crucial part of protecting yourself from identity theft is prevention. Frequently checking your financial statements and shredding documents that contain your personal information are key to protecting your identity. It is also very important to report suspicious activity on your financial statements as soon as possible.
According to the data from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), consumers reported losing over $12.5 billion to fraud in 2024, marking a significant 25% increase from 2023. Imposter scams accounted for $2.9 billion in reported loss. This means thieves are getting smarter on how they steal your identity, despite prevention strategies. Here are some common causes of identity theft: - Public Wi-Fi networks: Don’t access your personal or financial information while using a public Wi-Fi connection. - Always shred documents that have your personal information, including bills and credit card offers. - Immediately report lost or stolen credit/debit cards, driver’s license, social security card or any other government issued identification.
