As part of our Urban Design Semester (2021-2023), our batch of 18 conducted an in-depth study of Kodungallur in association with the Muziris Heritage Project. Through surveys, questionnaires, documentation, data collection, and interactive meetings with the public, we gained valuable insights into the town's unique character and community needs.
The study outcomes guided us toward thoughtful Urban Design Proposals, culminating in individual design solutions that were later exhibited. Grateful for this enriching journey of learning, collaboration, and creativity.
My proposal aimed to enhance the public realm by implementing placemaking strategies that celebrate the significance of the canal, ultimately strengthening tourism in the region. Proud to be part of this meaningful initiative that envisions a better future for Kodungallur.
