NOWER HILL NEWS OCTOBER 2025 From The Headteacher Dear Parents and Carers As we come to the end of a truly wonderful and busy half term, I want to take a moment to reflect on what an uplifting few weeks it has been here at Nower Hill. The energy, enthusiasm, and sense of community that fill our school each day continue to remind me what a special place this is.

We also came together to celebrate the achievements of our incredible students at Awards Evening — an occasion that perfectly showcased their talent, dedication, and commitment to excellence. Congratulations to every student who received an award; we are so proud of all that you have accomplished.

This half term marks the beginning of a brand-new school year — a time filled with fresh ambitions, aspirations, and renewed purpose. It has been inspiring to see our students return eager to challenge themselves, set goals, and seize every opportunity that comes their way. This edition of the newsletter is packed full of examples of those ambitions being realised. The breadth of the Nower Hill curriculum is embodied in the rich array of opportunities that our proudly diverse and inclusive community embraces, both inside and outside the classroom.

This edition of the newsletter is filled with stories and highlights that capture the spirit of our school — our students’ hard work, creativity, and kindness shine through in everything they do. Thank you, as always, for your continued support and partnership. It is through our shared commitment that Nower Hill remains such a vibrant and inspiring place to learn.

One of the standout moments this half term was the inspiring visit from Dr Kadiatu Kanneh-Mason and her son Braimah, whose warmth, insight, and musical brilliance captivated everyone present. We were delighted to welcome students from schools across Harrow, along with parents and families, to share in what was a truly memorable event.

I would also like to extend my warmest wishes to all the families in our community who have celebrated Diwali this week. I wish all of our students an enriching and restful break, and we look forward to welcoming them back on November 5th, after our slightly elongated half term.
