NOWER HILL NEWS JULY 2026 From The Headteacher Dear Parents and Carers As we reach the final half term of another exceptional academic year, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your unwavering support and encouragement. It remains an absolute privilege to see our students grow, thrive, and seize the many opportunities available to them. Our core values of ambition, commitment, creativity, equity, and kindness run through everything we do at Nower Hill, and it is these principles that guide us in our ultimate vision of creating choice and possibilities for all. This final edition of the newsletter is jam-packed with wonderful moments that showcase how our students bring these values to life. Our young people have truly broadened their horizons this term, demonstrating immense ambition on international trips to Berlin, Belgium, and Paris, as well as gaining invaluable real-world insights through their work experience placements to help them realise the exciting possibilities ahead in their futures. We also celebrate some remarkable milestones, including the incredible commitment of our very first group of students attempting their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award, and fantastic success in a national Gaelic football competition, which beautifully highlights the diverse range of sports on offer here. An enriched school experience like this is only possible because of the dedication of our staff. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all of the colleagues at Nower Hill who work tirelessly to make these incredible opportunities and successes a reality. number of staff members who are leaving us for new chapters. I would like to thank them for their dedicated service, professionalism, and the kindness they have shown our students. They have made a lasting impact on our school community, and we wish them all the very best for the future. It has been especially heartening this term to celebrate the diverse ways our students achieve and grow in an environment rooted in equity and encouragement. In this issue, you will see a wonderful photograph from a recent Headteacher’s Tea that I was delighted to host, celebrating those students who have demonstrated the biggest improvement in their conduct this term. Their progress, alongside the brilliant creativity and dedication featured in areas like Robotics, Engineering, Computing, and the Performing and Visual Arts, reminds us of the immense potential within every single student. Thank you once again for being such an important part of our school community.
