iSAMS Parent Portal
Welcome
We are excited to be able to release this to all parents now You can expect to be able to access data and information as you did previously, but with more coming as we move further into the academic year The portal gives a very fresh and modern look and feel Whilst you can access information including Academic Reports, Attendance, Timetable, links, documentation, photo gallery, pupil leave requests and bulletins
The portal is classed as a “Progressive App” and is compatible across all devices you may use; no physical Appstore download required. This ensures parents get a consistent and optimised experience whether they access the portal on a laptop, tablet, or phone. Each device will deliver the same intuitive interface and functionality.
Push Notifications
The new cloud portal also means seamless notifications across any device, ensuring parents are always up to date with important announcements, reminders, and updates on a device of their choice.

What settings do parents have to enable to receive push notifications?
Parents can decide which push notifications they would like to receive within their account parent cloud portal account Communication > Push Subscriptions. However, please note that not all options in this area are currently activated. Parents should also make sure that their device of choice has push notifications enabled. These settings can vary across different devices, so do ensure you have checked your device settings
Where can missed push notifications be viewed?
All notifications can be viewed on the Parent Portal under My Account > My Notifications. This page is broken down into two subtabs: Unread and Read
Main navigation
Once you are logged in to the portal, the top navigation bar is how you will find your way around the system. Each menu title will drop down when clicked to show other options beneath it.
The Dashboard
Attendance Widget
The dashboard provides parents with instant access to attendance information as soon as you log into the portal
Submit a Quick Leave Request
Parents can request a leave of absence for their child (for example, compassionate leave) This can be submitted via the portal for review Once reviewed by school staff, you can check the status of any request in the portal in the communication menu tab
Creating a leave request
This can be quickly and easily done from the attendance widget on the dashboard homepage Simply click on “quick actions” to reveal the create leave request button.

Timetable
iSAMS has enhanced the appearance and functionality of School timetables so parents can now view their child's lessons and download or print a copy to attach to their fridge at home
Examinations
For the parents of pupils in an external examination season (Year 11 and Year 13), you can see exam entries and timetables for your children. *During the run-up to exams, these details do change as requirements change
School Reports
All School reports from now will appear in this area for parents to view/download. You will be notified of course when reports are available for you to access.
School Information
This tab will give you access to published School documents (policy and procedures, etc.) and access to a list of quick links/bookmarks to frequently used areas such as term dates, School Gateway, SOCS etc.
School Life
A wide range of photos of DCSF life for you to browse at your leisure Updated regularly
Photo Gallery
Communication
This area gives you access to your communication preferences The contact information option will allow you to see a basic set of data we hold for you (names, address, phone number, etc ) if any of your details have changed and you need to inform the School of These, then you can use this method to send us updates and changes, and we will action those for you
My Account
In this area, you can change all the settings in relation to your account
Change your password and security questions, see your communication history and notifications
Password resets can be done by you from the main login page You can click the forgotten password option
