• The Breeder’s Choice Gelbvieh Bull Futurity was initiated to increase the participation in the National Gelbvieh Show and Sale, and to identify and promote young herdsires in the Gelbvieh Breed. • The sponsor of the annual futurity is the Breeder’s Choice Bull Futurity Inc., a non-profit organization, not associated with the American Gelbvieh Association. • The 2026 Futurity is limited to 50 paid memberships, with 3 memberships being offered at auction during the reception. • The Futurity winners will be selected by scored balloting of the breeder members. The selection will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, January 4 at the Performance Arena held during the Cattlemen’s Congress in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Ballots must have a different bull in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions. Members on site will vote as well as members not on site, shall vote remotely. The top 3 vote winning bulls in the initial voting will come back into the arena for a second voting to select the Breeder’s Choice Futurity Champion and two Runners Up.

• The consignor of the Futurity Champion will receive the greater of approximately 80% of the net futurity funds or the net proceeds from the sale of the bull in the National Sale. The two runners up will receive approximately10% respectively of the net Futurity funds. • The Futurity Champion will be sold in the National Gelbvieh Sale. The lessor of the net sale proceeds of the Champion or the net futurity proceeds will be awarded to member selected by drawing at the Futurity Reception, Sunday January 4th at the Embassy Suites. • Each Futurity Member has the right to receive 20 units of semen from the Champion Bull. • All bulls entered in the 2026 Breeder’s Choice Gelbvieh Bull Futurity have been DNA tested for HD Genomic EPDs and are tested for the following genetic defects: AM;NH;CA and DD. The winning bull will have all tests completed to meet AGA requirements for AI Sires.
