ThisManualhasbeenpreparedtoassistyouinthe correctprocedureforrunning--in,drivingand operatingandforthemaintenanceofyournew tractor.ReadthisManualcarefully.Yourtractoris intendedforuseinnormalandcustomary agriculturalapplications.
Ifatanytimeyourequireadviceconcerningyour tractor,donothesitatetocontactyourNewHolland dealer.Hehasfactorytrainedpersonnel,genuine manufacturers’partsandthenecessaryequipment tocarryoutallyourservicerequirements.
Yourtractorhasbeendesignedandbuilttogive maximumperformance,economyandeaseof operationunderawidevarietyofoperating conditions.Priortodelivery,thetractorwascarefully inspected,bothatthefactoryandbyyourdealerto ensurethatitreachesyouinoptimumcondition.To maintainthisconditionandensuretrouble--free operation,itisimportantthattheroutineservices,as specifiedinSection4ofthisManual,arecarriedout attherecommendedintervals.
CLEANINGTHETRACTOR
Yourtractorisastate-of-the-artmachinewithuser friendlycontrols.Thisshouldbeborneinmindwhen cleaningthetractor,particularlyifusingahigh pressurewasher.Eventhougheveryprecautionhas beentakentosafeguardelectricalcomponentsand connections,thepressuregeneratedbysomeof thesemachinesissuchthatcompleteprotection againstwateringresscannotbeguaranteed.
Whenusingahighpressurewasher,donotstandtoo closetothetractorandavoiddirectingthejetat electroniccomponents,electricalconnections, breathers,seals,fillercaps,etc.Neverdirectacold waterjetatahotengineorexhaust.

Afteryouhaveoperatedthetractorfor50hours,take yourtractor,togetherwiththisManual,toyourdealer. Hewillthenperformthefactoryrecommended50-hourserviceandcompletetheservicereportsheets (pages9--1and9--3).Thefirstsheet(page9--1)isthe dealer’scopyandshouldberemovedbythedealer aftertheservicehasbeencarriedout.Thesecond sheet(page9--3)isyourcopyoftheservice performed. Itshouldbepointedoutthatgenuinepartshavebeen examinedandapprovedbytheCompany.The installationand/oruseof‘non-genuine’products couldhavenegativeeffectsuponthedesign characteristicsofyourtractorandtherebyaffectit’s safety.TheCompanyisnotliableforanydamage causedbytheuseof‘non--genuine’partsand accessories.Onlygenuinereplacementpartsshould beused.Theuseofnon-genuinepartsmay invalidatelegalapprovalsassociatedwiththis product.

WARRANTY
Yourtractoriswarrantedaccordingtolegalrightsin yourcountryandthecontractualagreementwiththe sellingdealer.Nowarrantyshall,however,applyif thetractorhasnotbeenused,adjustedand maintainedaccordingtotheinstructionsgiveninthe Operator’sManual.

Soil,airandwaterarevitalfactorsofagricultureand lifeingeneral.Wherelegislationdoesnotyetrulethe treatmentofsomeofthesubstanceswhichare requiredbyadvancedtechnology,commonsense shouldgoverntheuseanddisposalofproductsofa chemicalandpetrochemicalnature.
Thefollowingarerecommendationswhichmaybeof assistance:
Becomeacquaintedwithandensurethatyou understandtherelativelegislationapplicableto yourcountry.
• Askyoursuppliersoflubricants,oils,fuels, anti--freeze,detergents,etc.forinformationon theeffectsoftheseproductsonhumansandthe environmentandforinstructionsconcerning theiruse,storageanddisposal.Inmanycases, localagriculturalconsultantswillbeableto provideassistance.
HELPFULHINTS
1.Avoidfillingtanksusingunsuitablecontainersor inappropriatepressurisedfueldeliverysystems whichmaycauseconsiderablespillage.
2.Ingeneral,avoidskincontactwithallfuels,oils, acids,solvents,etc.Mostofthemcontain substanceswhichcanbeharmfultoyourhealth.
3.Modernoilscontainadditives.Donotburn contaminatedfuelsand/orwasteoilsinordinary heatingsystems.
4.Avoidspillagewhentransferringusedengine coolingliquids,engineandtransmission lubricants,hydraulicoils,brakefluids,etc.Never mixusedbrakeoilwithfueloil,orfueloilwith lubricants.Storesafelyuntilsuitabledisposal canbearrangedaccordingtonationallegislation orlocalregulations.
5.Modernanti----freezeliquidsandsolutions,e.g. anti--freezeandotheradditives,mustbe replacedeverytwoyears.Theymustnotbeleft tobeabsorbedintotheground,butmustbe collectedanddisposedofinasuitablemanner.
6.Donotopentheair-conditioningsystemyourself. Itcontainsgaseswhichshouldnotbereleased intotheatmosphere.Yourdealerorair conditioningspecialisthasaspecialextractorfor thispurposeandwillhavetorechargethesystem anyway.
7.Repairanyleaksordefectsintheenginecooling orhydraulicsystemimmediately.
8.Donotincreasethepressureinapressurised circuitasthismayleadtothecomponents exploding.
9.Protecthosesduringweldingaspenetrating weldsplattermayburnaholeorweakenthem, causingthelossofoils,coolant,etc.
10.Donotadjustthesettingofthefueldelivery systemasthiswillaltertheemissionofexhaust fumes.

1.ReadthisManualcarefullybeforestarting,using, carryingoutmaintenance,refuellingor performinganyothertypeofoperationonthe tractor.Lackofoperatingknowledgecanleadto accidents.
2.ThetimespentreadingthisManualwillallowyou togettoknowyourtractor,therebysavingtime andeffort.Thiswillalsohelppreventaccidents fromtakingplace.
3.Onlyallowproperlytrainedandqualifiedpersons tooperatethetractor.

1.Neverstartormanoeuvrethetractorunless seatedinthedrivingposition.
2.Whendrivingonpublicroads,have considerationforotherroadusers.Pullintothe sideoftheroadoccasionallytoallowany followingtraffictopass.Donotexceedthelegal speedlimitsetinyourcountryforagricultural tractors.
3.Usearotatingbeaconwhendrivingonpublic roadstoindicatethatthevehicleisslowmoving andisapossiblehazard.
4.Dipthetractorlightswhenmeetingavehicleat night.Makesurethelightsareadjustedto preventblindingthedriverofanoncoming vehicle.
5.Reducespeedbeforeturningorapplyingthe brakes.Brakebothwheelssimultaneouslywhen makinganemergencystop.Ensurethatboth brakepedalsarelockedtogetherwhentravelling atroadspeedsorwhenonpublicroadstoensure correctoperationoftrailerbrakes,balanced operationofthetractorbrakesandfourwheel braking(4WDtractorsonly).

12.Neverapplythedifferentiallockwhenturning. Whenengaged,thedifferentiallockwillprevent thetractorfromturning.
13.Alwayscheckoverheadclearance,especially whentransportingthetractor.Watchwhereyou aregoing,especiallyatrowends,onroadsand aroundtreesandlowoverhangingobstacles.
