and Fault Managed Power Systems (FMPS). Participants will learn how FMPS works, where it applies, and key

requirements from 2026 NEC Article 726 and UL 1400-1/2.

The course covers design considerations, safety protocols, and impacts on telecommunications, power distribution, and building technology, with case studies highlighting real-world applications.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES •

Identify advanced FMPS applications, including

applicable codes, safety protections, and design considerations.

Compare conventional electrical distribution with FMPS across applications such as PoE, AV systems, DAS, renewable energy, and building technologies.

Evaluate the role of FMPS in data centers, including

performance, infrastructure design, and impacts on materials and operations.

Examine FMPS data center infrastructure and layouts

compared to traditional systems, including a sample cost analysis.
