Welcome to the 2026 Forest City classic!
We are thrilled to welcome teams, coaches, athletes, and families to Rockford, Illinois for an exciting weekend of competition at the UW Health Sports Factory, happening Saturday, February 28 and Sunday, March 1, 2026.
The Forest City Classic will feature top-level play for 11U–18U Girls, welcoming teams from all governing affiliations. With a five-match guarantee, 16 courts under one roof, and up officials assigned to every match, this event is designed to deliver nonstop action and a premier tournament experience.
The UW Health Sports Factory offers a high-energy environment built for competition, bringing athletes together for a weekend of intense match play, great sportsmanship, and memorable moments. Team awards will be presented to recognize outstanding performances throughout the tournament.

Event Policy
ENTRY FEE: $300.00 due by January 30, 2026 (Acceptance is determined by date entry fee is received)
REGISTRATION: Registration for this tournament is available on Advanced Event Systems. Teams will be accepted based on the date of registration and registration payment.
Please make sure to submit the following:
• Register through AES
• Submit Online Payment to secure your spot immediately. A 2.8% credit card processing fee applies. Checks for $300.00/ team, can also be mailed to Starz Volleyball, 1000 Mill Rd. Rockford, IL 61108
• Submit Roster through AES by February 23, 2026. Changes to your roster can be made via AES, or upon request until check-in has been completed.
FORMAT: All matches will be best of 3 games to 25 with the deciding game, if necessary, to 15. There is no cap.
SCHEDULES: Will be posted by late Tuesday, February 24, 2026
OFFICIALS: The tournament will supply officials for all courts and matches.
TIE-BREAKERS: There will not be any tiebreaking games played. In the case of a tie, the teams will be ranked by head-to-head results. In the case of a 3-way tie: set percentage, and then, if necessary, point percentage.
UPDATES & CHANGES: All tournament updates and changes will be communicated to Club Directors and Coaches through emails sent via AES. Please ensure you have added all necessary email addresses to AES in order to stay up to date on all tournament information.
TEAM AWARDS: Awarded to 1st and 2nd place teams.
SPECTATOR ADMISSIONS:
• Weekend General Admission - Valid for both Saturday & Sunday
• Single Day Admission - Valid for either Saturday or Sunday
• Kids Under 10, Players & Coaches are Free
ATHLETIC TRAINERS: An athletic trainer will be onsite at all times and available to tape and assist with minor injuries and serve as a first responder to more serious injuries. Athletes must provide tape and prewrap for any pre-existing needs. The tournament only provides tape and pre-wrap for emergency purposes.
REFUNDS: We must receive an email requesting a refund, no later than, January 14, 2026, to be considered for a refund.

Scoring Table Rules
A 2-4-4 WARM UP - for the 1st match of the day. If a team just completed a match
NO WARMUPS - If a team had a match off, then a 3-minute warm up. Coaches may agree to a reduced warmup time.
UNIFORM - no bracelets.
COIN FLIP - prior to the first game of each match. Coin flip if there is a 3rd game.
ALL 14U AND UNDER MATCHES - on a bad service toss, one replay only as long
AS THE BALL IS NOT HIT - 11 U only matches allow for a server to take one step into the court when contacting the serve.
7 SECONDS for a
service violation
NET VIOLATIONS - only call when a player is making a hit or block.
GAMES 1 & 2 - are played to 25 points, no cap.
GAME 3 - is played to 15 points with no cap.
IF COACHES AGREE - please start matches early to stay on schedule.
