Concerns Remain Over Kelsey Hill Development By Aaron Rubin Staff Writer
Deep River residents continued to raise concerns about the development at 245 Kelsey Hill Road during an Aug. 19 Planning and Zoning Commission meeting. Residents raised questions about the project’s permitting process, blasting, traffic, and
potential health and environmental impacts. Town officials and representatives associated with the property’s owners, Papoosha Real Estate Investors, also provided information about the project and its approvals. The development is located in a residential neighborhood a short distance from Valley Regional High School and John Winthrop Middle School.
Because 245 Kelsey Hill Road was not listed on the agenda for a public hearing, residents raised their concerns during the public comment portion of the meeting. Representatives associated with the developer spoke before the residents and did not respond to their questions during public comment.
