Region 4 Honors 14 Fallen WWII Veterans By Aaron Rubin Staff Writer
Region 4 students on May 22 honored the 14 Deep River men who died during World War II during “A Day of Remembrance and Service,” which included the rededication of 14 trees along the driveway to Valley
Regional High School, one for each veteran. According to Valley Regional High School Principal Mike Barile, the “new trees have been planted to replace the dying original trees” and “honor the 14 Valley veterans who lost their lives during World War II.” “The memorial ceremony and community service projects represent Valley’s commit-
ment to honoring those who served while giving back to our local communities through meaningful action,” Barile said. The 14 veterans honored were Peter Kerowkoski, John Beilot, Theodore Dreher, James A. Ferguson, Edwin Gorecki, Harry F. See Region 4 Honors page 6
