Chamber Pauses After Director Resigns By Eric O'Connell Staff Writer
The Clinton Chamber of Commerce has temporarily suspended operations following the unexpected resignation of Executive Director Paul Orsini, the organization’s board announced July 1.
The town will step in to oversee two major community events typically managed by the chamber—the annual summer concert series and SummerFest. A statement from the Chamber’s Board of Directors, posted to social media the evening of July 1, said the organization is entering a “transitional period” and will not be accept-
ing sponsorships, donations, or membership fees during the pause. “This temporary pause is part of our commitment to transparency, accountability, and maintaining the highest standards of integrity in our operations,” the board wrote. See Chamber Pauses page 6
Coast to Coast High school graduates from across the country gather at Clinton Town Beach on July 6 during their stay with the American Exchange Project. The national program, which brought students to Clinton from July 2 to 9, gives recent graduates the chance to explore communities different from their own. Clinton was the only Connecticut town selected to participate in this year’s exchange.
