GPD Begins Study for Infrastructure Improvements By Aaron Rubin Staff Writer
The Guilford Police Department has selected a vendor to perform a needs assessment of its main building at the Church Street public safety complex, marking the first step toward a series of potential structural and systemic improvements.
The department has selected Silver Petrucelli as the consultant to conduct the assessment, which Police Chief Christopher Massey said will “analyze our structure and what we need to hit in terms of our building improvement project.” The department will allocate $19,000 from its capital fund to finance the assessment. Massey told the Courier that the depart-
ment has been eyeing improvements for “a couple of years.” Conversations about the work, held in collaboration with the town’s Standing Building Committee, began with discussions about replacing the building’s roof and expanding the vehicle carport. “Those were two things, several years ago, See GPD Begins Study page 7
