Hi! I’m Daymi, a creative who’s spent the past few years navigating the path to becoming a graphic designer. Along the way, I’ve experienced both the exhilarating highs and the challenging lows, each teaching me invaluable lessons that I hope will guide you on your own journey.
This book is a piece of my soul—an open, honest look at my struggles, the moments of doubt, and the ways I’ve managed to overcome them. It’s my hope that, as you read, you’ll find something that resonates, inspires, or comforts you on this sometimes tough but always rewarding path to becoming a designer.

Who you admire and whose ideas inspire you reveal the person you aspire to become. Take a closer look—read between the lines of their journey—and find the lessons that guide you toward becoming someone you’re proud of.
Find passions all your
Your passions hold the key to discovering your true path in life. Embrace what brings you joy and fulfillment, and weave it into your creative process, career choices, and projects. When you align your work with what lights you up, everything becomes more meaningful.
Dream really big
Dream big and let your aspirations fuel your creativity and drive. I've learned that dreams often come true when you stay focused and put in the effort to bring them to life. Sometimes, all it takes is the courage to take that first step.
Believe in your ideas
Your ideas are a mirror of your identity, your values, and the mark you hope to leave on the world. Nurture them with positivity, work diligently, and trust in your ability to bring them to life—or grow through the process. If things don’t go as planned, remember: it doesn’t define your worth as a creative. Every step, even the missteps, shapes your journey.
Take dreams of your care
Chase your dreams with consistent effort and curiosity. If there’s something you want to learn, ask, explore, and take action. Growth doesn’t have to be rushed—it’s like planting a flower. With patience and care, it will bloom, revealing its full beauty in time, just as your dreams will.
Don’t the staybox in
Perfectionism can be suffocating, convincing you that anything less than perfect isn’t worth doing. It often leads to procrastination, stress, and doubt about your abilities. But don’t let it trap you. Be courageous enough to pursue your dreams, even if fear tags along. Progress, not perfection, is what truly matters.
Be thankful of the support
Along your journey, you’ll encounter people who believe in you and want to uplift you—whether through work opportunities, freelance projects, or the loving support of family, friends, or a partner. Some may even find inspiration in your work. Embrace these moments with gratitude, remain humble, and honor the trust placed in you by clients, colleagues, or anyone who believes in your potential. Their faith in you is a gift—nurture it with care.

Prioritize your health and well-being. Chasing your dreams can be exhausting, sometimes even isolating, pulling you away from family, friends, and life’s simple joys. But dreams mean little if you forget to truly live. I’ve learned to set aside time—weekends for my partner, friends, family, or even just myself. It hasn’t always been easy, and it’s far from perfect, but it’s worth it. Balance doesn’t need to be flawless—it just needs to nurture you.
