This multi-purpose center will incorporate best-practice models and provide low-barrier, trauma informed support that allows families to stabilize, heal, and move forward all under one roof.
Families like Jocelyn’s will no longer be forced to navigate a crisis in their car or search for scattered resources. Instead, they will have access to the first solution in Hillsborough County designed exclusively for families. From hot meals, private showers, and laundry facilities, to employment services, case management, and safe spaces for children, the Family Solutions Center will be a lifeline of dignity and stability. The Dawning Family Services Campus, located on Armenia Ave, encompasses all three buildings including the current administration center, Phase I construction of the new Family Solutions Center, and Phase II construction of additional transitional, rapid, and permanent affordable housing. The campus signage will be prominently located along Armenia Ave and offer high visibility for all traffic and guests to campus. Your gift will ensure this campus serves as a beacon of hope and healing for generations.
Family Solutions Center Building
This two-story 9,000 sq. ft. building will be a lifeline of dignity and stability for families and children. The new facility will include private family changing rooms with showers, family meeting offices, washers and dryers, kitchen facilities, a multi-purpose community room and event space, flexible co-working staff offices, meeting areas, and drop-in computer stations. Your generosity will make this the first purpose-built center of its kind in Hillsborough County.
Community Kitchen & Dry Storage
This 440 sq. ft. space includes both the community kitchen and dry storage, enabling our team and volunteers to prepare more than 14,000 nutritious meals per year. Families will gather at tables, not in cars, to share meals with dignity. Your gift will nourish thousands of children and parents every year.
Family Activities Center (Multi-Purpose Room)
This 1,659 sq. ft. community gathering space will host more than 100 children and parents at a time for meals, special events, and activities. This space will bring together families, case managers, volunteers and community partners to build pathways to stability including training such as financial literacy, first time home buying, resume preparation, and job interviews. This space will also support creativity and mental health awareness through workshops and activities like yoga, meditation and art therapy. An estimated 1,250 unique families will be served here each year. Your generosity will create a cornerstone of connection, healing and transformation for families.

This 127 sq. ft. space with four washers and dryers will restore dignity by ensuring families have access to clean clothing at no cost. Removing this barrier allows parents and children to focus on healing and moving forward.

This 1,897 sq. ft. Staff Coworking Center will be a hub of collaboration where our dedicated team of 18 comes together to serve families.
