High Tide is a dance concert that explores the paradox of desire as a state of suspension - of holding on while simultaneously wanting to let go, lingering at the threshold of what is not yet graspable. The title refers to both the cyclical rise of sea levels and moments of heightened emotional intensity, when forces peak on the verge of transformation.
Situated between the intimate and the grand, the real and the imagined, the work unfolds as a practice of listening within a dreamlike, raw, and tender universe. Through movement and voice, Emilie Gregersen invites the audience into a sensorial trip of affective and physical intensities, where desire emerges as a force holding both pleasure and pain. High Tide is shaped by heartbreaks, yearning songs and new beginnings.
High Tide is a solo created and performed by Emilie Gregersen, developed in collaboration with composer Karis Zidore, lighting designer Veslemøy Rustad Holseter, and dramaturg Lydia Östberg Diakité.

Emilie Gregersen Artist, choreographer and dancer
Emilie Gregersen (DK) is an artist, choreographer, and dancer based in Copenhagen. Her choreographic work is departing from speculative fiction as a way to depict new worlds, through a curiosity of questioning and transforming meaning. Working from and with desire, affect, erotic ambivalence and queerness, Gregersen engages physical practices to build performances that evoke the senses.
Emilie Gregersen has created performances such as touch (2020), Caresses (2021), and On My Tongue (2024). She’s a co-founding member of Dance Cooperative and Sweat Productions, and educated in dance and choreography from the Danish National School of Performing Arts.
