PORTFOLIO
Danielle Seipel
Hello, I’m Danielle! A soon to be graduate of interior design from Mesa College. After transitioning from a career in event coordination, I’m excited to pursue my passion for interior design.
I believe that thoughtful design has the ability to fuse functionality, emotion, and everlasting experiences. The power of thoughtful design cultivates meaningful human connection, which drives as my inspiration and future ambition to work in the design field.
In my designs, I am passionate about employing the power of design to positively impact communities by focusing on both functionality and aesthetics. My goal is to create spaces that promote happiness, health, and inclusivity, making a difference through design.

CLASSICS: REIMAGINED
Paris, France
The Roselight is a boutique hotel lobby concept inspired by John Singer Sargent’s Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose. This entry was a grand prize winner of the Material Bank Fall 2025 Student Design Competition, the project challenged designers to reinterpret a master artwork through materialdriven commercial space. This concept explores how fleeting twilight, soft illumination, and biophilic forms can be translated into a contemporary hospitality environment. Through layered lighting, sculptural gestures, and a refined material palette, the design reimagines the painting’s quiet, luminous magic as an immersive and transportive spatial experience.

This project consisted of taking a floor plan from AutoCAD and importing it into Sketchup. With two female roommates as clients in mind, I designed this apartment to feel young and chic in a sophisticated. manner

LOCATION
Located in Mission Valley, the 5,200 sf first-floor suite provides groundlevel access with strong natural light and proximity to community amenities. San Diego’s mild climate allows for indoor/outdoor connection, an important design opportunity for the Work Café.
Accessible entry + parking
Existing lobby, restrooms, and structural core to remain

CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT
The design concept emphasizes wellness at the core of work, weaving together spaces for collaboration, focus, and rejuvenation. A hospitality-inspired Work Café anchors the office as a social hub, while the Wellness Studio offers opportunities for restoration. Transparency, flexibility, and digital connectivity shape the flow of the space, ensuring the office is not just functional, but a living embodiment of “Technology for Mindful Living.”

Chapterhouse is a modern salon inspired by the literary parlors and coffeehouses of 18thcentury Europe. It invites guests to linger among books, botanicals, and candlelight. By day, it’s a haven for readers and thinkers; by night, a gathering place where conversations deepen and spirits (both literal and poetic) are stirred. Every corner tells a story, every glass a revelation, every visit a new chapter.
