Daniel Alger Of Nashville
Daniel Alves Alger is a professional musician, guitarist, and songwriter based in Nashville, Tennessee. He is the co-founder of The Druids, a rock band that has independently released multiple albums and continues to build its audience. In addition to performing and creating music, Daniel works as a DJ and private music instructor, teaching guitar and bass lessons to students from many parts of the world. His work experience also includes roles in instrument craftsmanship, security, construction, and retail. Daniel Alves Alger was born in Brazil, but much of his upbringing took place in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. During his childhood and teen years, he was deeply involved in ice hockey. He played from elementary through high school and was a top-line forward for the Blair Ice Hockey team. In 2014, he helped lead the team to a divisional championship, an accomplishment that reflects his dedication to team sports and discipline. At the same time, music was a steady presence in his life. He began piano lessons early on and later expanded into guitar and bass. These instruments gave him new ways to explore his creativity. By the time he was a teenager, he was performing with bands in the local DMV music scene. These early experiences helped him grow both as a guitarist and as a songwriter. In 2017, Daniel moved to Nashville, Tennessee, to attend Belmont University. Though he studied there for only two semesters, his time at Belmont gave him access to a strong network of musicians and introduced him to professional-level guitar playing. While there, he began performing live around the city and continued developing his original material. This period led to the formation of The Druids, a band rooted in psychedelic and classic rock influences. As a founding member of The Druids, Daniel Alger of Nashville takes on multiple roles, including guitarist, songwriter, and vocalist. His input has shaped the band’s sound, which combines indie rock, layered textures, and thoughtful songwriting.
