Inouragencytour,westartedbyvisiting temples,loadsandloadsofBuddhistand Chinesetemples.
Buddhisttemplesalways haveabeautifulwater featureandimposing Buddhas!
WeexploredBangkokandThonburi(cityontheothersideofthe ChaoPhrayaRiver)bybus,byfootandbylong-tailboatWealso visitedalocalparkandsawsomehugemonitorlizards.Ihadno ideatheyexistedsoIthoughttheymightbecrocodiles(honestly,I wasabitscaredImightbetheirnextmeal!)
Ilovefood,andspeciallytryingoutnewdishes,sowesignedupfor aThaicookingclass,learninghowtocookPadThai,ChickenGreen Curry,TomYumGoongandStickyMangoRice.Wealsowentto YaowaratRoad,wherewehadexcellentstreetfood
NextwevisitedChiangRai,exploringtheGoldenTriangle,where ThailandsharesborderswithLaosandMyanmar,feastingoureyes onamazinglandscapesandvisitingtheBlueandWhiteTemples.
InChiangMai,wegottovisitaKarenandAkhapeoplevillage,and seeingtheirtraditionalclothing,travellingbyboat,elephantriding (weendedupregrettingdoingthat)andexploringthenightmarket ofChiangMai.
AtPhuketweonlywantedtolaybythebeachandsoakthesun. However,theraintrickedus,sowealsogottoexplorePhuket Town,discoveringsomePortugueseinfluencesonarchitectureand jewellery,goingtoaHarryPotterthemedcafe(couldn'tmissthat!) andhikingupMonkeyHill.Whatagoodtwistthatwas!
Forourlastday,wewentanamazingboattouronthePhangNga Bay,wherewekayakedthroughseagrottos,visitedislandhongs, builtKratongcrownsandsawbioluminescentplankton.Itwasout ofthisworld!
