A Godly Fearing Man! What Do You Want to Be When Your Walking in God Truly.
Some people may call you a boy, some may call you a young man. I prefer the term young man because you are growing up and becoming a true man of God. But what does that mean? What does it mean to be a man of God, and how can you start building on these things now, while you're in your teens? Here are some characteristics of a godly man:
"He strives to avoid lust and other temptations and works hard to overcome them." He Keeps His Heart Pure! Oh, those stupid temptations! They know just how to get in the way of our Christian walk and our relationship with God. A Godly man strives to have purity of heart. He strives to avoid lust and other temptations and works hard to overcome them. Is a godly man a perfect man? Well, not unless he's Jesus. So, there are going to be times a Godly man makes a mistake. Yet, he works to make sure those mistakes are minimized. He Keeps His Mind Sharp! A Godly man desires to be wise so he can make good choices. He studies his Bible, and he works hard to make himself a smarter, more disciplined person. He wants to know what is going on in the world to see how he can do God's work. He wants to know God's answer to any situation he may face. This means spending time in bible study, doing your homework, taking your schooling seriously, and spending time in prayer and church. He Has Integrity A Godly man is one that puts an emphasis on his own integrity. He strives to be honest and just. He works to develop a strong ethical foundation. He understands Godly behavior, and he wants to live to please God. A Godly man has a good character and a clean conscience.

He Uses His Words Wisely We all speak out of turn sometimes, and often we are quicker to speak than to think through what we should say. A Godly man puts an emphasis on speaking well to others. This doesn't mean a Godly man skirts the truth or avoids confrontation. He works on telling the truth in a loving manner and in a way that people respect him for his honesty.
He Devotes Himself to God God is always a priority to a Godly man. The man looks to God to guide him and direct his movements. He relies on God to provide him with an understanding of situations. He devotes his time to doing Godly work. Godly men go to church. They spend time in prayer. They read devotionals and do outreach to the community. They also spend time developing a relationship with God. These are all easy things you can start doing right now to grow your relationship with God.
He Works Hard He Never Gives Up In today's world, we are often discouraged from demanding work. There seems to be underlying importance placed on finding the effortless way through something than doing it well. Yet a Godly man knows that God wants us to work hard and do our jobs well. He wants us to be an example to the world of what good arduous work can bring. If we start developing this discipline early in high school, it will translate well when we get into college or the workforce.
We all feel defeated at times when we just want to give up. There are times when the enemy comes in and tries to take away God's plan from us and puts up barriers and obstacles. A Godly man knows the difference between God's plan and his own. He knows never to give up when it's God's plan and to persevere through a situation, and he also knows when to change direction when he allows his own mind to get in the way of God's plan. Developing the tenacity to keep going is not easy in high school but start small and try.

A Godly Fearing Man Continued... He Gives Without Complaint Society tells us to always look out for #1, but who is actually #1? Is it God? It should be, and a Godly man knows it. When we look out for God, he gives us a heart forgiving. When we do God's work, we give to others, and God gives us a heart that soars when we do it. It never feels like a burden. A Godly man gives his time or his money without complaining because it's God's glory he seeks. We can start developing this selflessness by getting involved now. If you don't have money to give, try your time. Join an outreach program. Do something, and give something back. It's all for God's glory, and it helps people in the meantime. Pastor Joseph Hill is honored to serve the youth and young adults in his community through dance. He creates mentor programs by bringing youth and young adults together of every color, race through leadership, true love, and care.
His goals are to help mold strong leaders in the community and encourage the youth and young adults to prosper in their athletics and their academics, morals, and leadership in high school, college, and becoming an adult. Pastor Joe wants people to see that you can make a difference and be an example for the Kingdom of God by using the special gifts that God has blessed them with. He dares you to believe in who God has created you to be. Pastor Hill stated, "I started DTB Dare To Believe in 2008 when I got ordained as a minister. God gave me a fire for evangelism, and I just loved to share the gospel with the people and my service unto God and faithfulness allowed me to be ordained as a pastor a year later. One night as I was praying and talking to God, He asked me, "Do you believe in me" and I said yes, and He said, "Do you really believe in me?" And I replied again with a "yes," and He told me, "I need you to Dare people to believe in me." That's where DTB "Dare To Believe" were birthed from. He told me He was going to make me a fisherman of men. He said this would be His ministry. All I got to do is follow Him, and I haven't looked back." Dare To Believe will be 13 years going strong in September 2021. Now I don't know why or what God saw in a hood, crazy neighborhood gangsta sinner like me, but He saw something I didn't. The last thing on my mind was serving God and or doing that church stuff but God. His plans aren't my plans, and His works aren't my works. DTB was a very different ministry group. We weren't like others, and we didn't look like others. We wanted to sound different, dance different, and do the opposite of what the world was doing but be in the same place the world was so we could take back what was created for good. That's when we saw and met Kyah Scott. She was doing the same thing as we were doing, but she was doing it in Mime. So we got invited to one of Kyah's conferences, and we haven't looked back. Kyah and I have been through so much. It's more than just ministry. She covers me, and I have been a part of PPG conferences for many years now. I have seen the growth, have learned through the word to help my growth, and definitely experience how real God is from being a part of them. God really meets you at the level you can receive at these conferences. From practices to preparing classes and workshops, you can tell that Prophetess Kyah Scott soaks in the presence of God and don't move until she hears from God and then moves...

...until she hears from God and then moves and gets her team together to receive and deliver what God says, being led by the Spirit, I love being a part of whatever PPG has because it's real. It's not a game or a show. Prophetess Kyah Scott is about souls being won over to the Kingdom of God. To really know what I am talking about. You would have to experience it. Kyah and I have been through so much. It's more than just ministry. She covers me, and I cover her. Our friendship is indescribable. he has been there for me through my tough times and my good times, and I can say the same thing for her. People see the ministry part with us, but they don't see and know the friendship and bond we have an outside ministry. Kyah is truly like family to me. Real brothers and sisters. I would hurt someone over her. That's how much love we share. That's why she can trust me, and I have been there for her over the years with the conference and just life period as long as God allows me to be on this earth. I will do my best to be there to help her and support her—we are both growing in the Lord together. All in all. Serving God is so fun, and when you get around real people with the same goals, same purpose, and same love for the same God. It makes this walk worth its while.
