Tiffany Dufu is President of the Tory Burch Foundation, which empowers women entrepreneurs by providing access to capital, education, and community. She’s the author of the bestselling book Drop the Ball: Achieving More by Doing Less. According to foreword contributor Gloria Steinem, Drop the Ball is “important, path-breaking, intimate and brave.” Her writing has appeared in The Oprah Magazine, ESSENCE, and the New York Times. Named to Entrepreneur’s 100 Powerful Women and Fast Company’s League of Extraordinary Women, Tiffany has raised over $25 million in support of women and girls. She’s the founder of The Cru, a peer coaching tech company that was acquired by Luminary in 2023. Their algorithm matches women in accountability circles to help them meet their life goals. Tiffany was a launch team member to Lean In and was the Chief Leadership Oﬃcer of Levo, the fastest growing millennial women’s professional network. Prior to that, she served as President of The White House Project, which trained thousands of women across the nation to run for political oﬃce. Tiffany is a Trustee of Simmons University, a board member of Moms First, a member of Delta Sigma Theta, Sorority, Inc., and a Lifetime Girl Scout. She lives in New York City with her husband and two kids - but home is Seattle.

Director, Physical Medicine, Methodist Richardson Medical Center For more than a decade, Dani-Bree Bialek, FACHE, has generously invested her time, expertise and passion to advance opportunities for women and girls through Texas Women’s Foundation. As a member of the Nineteen Network and a volunteer grants reviewer for more than 10 years, Dani-Bree has played an important role in helping identify and support organizations creating meaningful change across North Texas. What inspired you to become involved with Texas Women’s Foundation? I have always had a calling to help others in need; it’s part of who I am. I have been involved in volunteering since high school, which parlayed into a career in healthcare. When I moved to Texas from Northern Virginia 10 years ago, I searched for organizations to support through my charitable giving and came across what was then Dallas Women’s

Foundation. As part of the Nineteen Network, I was invited to volunteer as a grants reviewer. You’ve been a volunteer grants reviewer for more than 10 years. What has that experience meant to you? In the 10+ years I have participated in the review cycle, I have had the honor of visiting the many organizations benefiting girls and women in North Texas and have seen the tremendous contributions that Texas Women’s Foundation makes in the community through its grants. How has serving as a grants reviewer impacted you personally and professionally? Having been exposed to so many strong organizations through the review process, I have been able to connect them with each other, with volunteers, and with potential clients in need of services. With regard to my personal growth, one site visit inspired me to serve on a Richardson City volunteer board, and I even joined the Board of Directors at Texas Women’s Foundation grant recipient Nexus Family Recovery Center. Why is it important to include community volunteers in the grants review process? A tremendous amount of work goes into the grant awards process, and it is important to have members of the community help with due diligence. I think it’s also a tremendous way to connect people and services in order to broaden the scope of assistance to the nonprofits serving women and girls in North Texas.

Economic Impact: • Based on average annual earnings, Dallas County families forego $1.63 billion in direct earnings due to the lack of affordable childcare. • This corresponds to approximately $3.19 billion in annual Gross Regional Product (GRP) losses for the county. • If left unaddressed, the cumulative, long-term economic losses for Dallas County and the state over the next 10 years are staggering: o Dallas County - estimated $562 million $859 million o Statewide - estimated $5.5 billion$8.3 billion

Owenwood: Opening in early 2026, Bella Gardens Preschool is a new on-

site initiative at the Owenwood campus designed to dismantle the childcare barriers facing mothers in East Dallas. Developed in direct response to the community’s needs, the program provides high-quality, bilingual early childhood education to foster long-term family stability and economic mobility. By starting with an initial enrollment of 12 children and a total capacity for 24, the preschool prioritizes local families who often struggle with the dual challenges of childcare affordability and limited transportation in a region where essential resources are frequently inaccessible without a vehicle. Our grant will provide seats for the first 12 children.

Frazier Revitalization: Frazier Healthy Homes is a place-based

initiative in South Dallas dedicated to stabilizing the lives of legacy homeowners, primarily African-American women aged 50–80. Operating in high-need zip codes like 75210, the program addresses the intersection of housing instability, health inequities, and economic vulnerability. By targeting families who have remained in their homes for over a decade, the initiative seeks to preserve generational wealth and community identity in neighborhoods that have historically faced systemic underinvestment and predatory practices.

Sharing Life: Pathways to Prosperity is Sharing Life’s comprehensive workforce development initiative designed to help women in Dallas County overcome systemic barriers and achieve long-term economic stability. The program serves approximately 300 women annually, specifically targeting those facing challenges such as food insecurity, limited educational attainment, and caregiving responsibilities. By providing industry-recognized credentials in high-demand sectors like healthcare and logistics, the program creates direct bridges to living-wage employment for heads of households and primary caregivers. In partnership with Dallas College, the program offers specialized training in Phlebotomy, Forklift Operation, and OSHA Warehouse Safety. Grant funding will support the core staﬃng and coordination necessary to deliver these credentialing and stabilization services, including financial coaching and housing coordination.

Texas Women’s Foundation Honors Changemakers at 2026 Leadership Forum & Awards Celebration Texas Women’s Foundation’s Leadership Forum & Awards Celebration brought together a sold-out audience of more than 600 attendees on April 29 at Moody Performance Hall for an inspiring evening dedicated to celebrating women’s leadership and building #StrongWomenBetterTexas. The event raised more than $385,000 in support of TXWF’s mission.

Co-chaired by Cristal Retana Lule and Lynn McBee, the event highlighted the power of sisterhood and collective philanthropy in removing the barriers to women’s economic security, stability and success and creating a strong and vibrant Texas for all.

The Leadership Forum, presented by Southwest Airlines, emceed by CBS News Anchor Karen Borta, served as a masterclass in leadership, featuring dynamic, microlearning sessions with award recipients and thought leaders.

The forum opened with “Power, Poise & Purpose,” featuring Kim Bizor Tolbert who shared her insights on leading with intention and navigating leadership at the highest levels of public service.

FALL NEWSLET TER 2026 A keynote highlight was Debra Hunter Johnson’s “DEBTalk,” which challenged attendees to rethink systemic barriers and move from intention to action in creating equitable workplaces.

In a dynamic discussion on intergenerational leadership, Young Leaders Prisma Garcia and Amanda Valentine reflected on the realities facing emerging leaders today and the importance of collaboration across generations.

Following the forum, the foundation presented its Special Recognition Award to High Tech Rising (formerly High Tech High Heels) for its decades-long commitment to advancing girls in STEM. Melendy Lovett and Laura Steﬀek accepted the honor, sharing that over 25 years, the initiative has reached more than 90,000 girls and invested more than $2 million in STEM education. Concluding the program, the Foundation introduced its inaugural Champion Award, honoring Allen Nye, CEO of Oncor, for his leadership in advancing women in the workplace. Nye thanked Texas Women’s Foundation for opening doors, expanding opportunities and reminding others what is possible when talent is encouraged. “Better decisions are made when there are more perspectives at the table. It’s not just the right thing to do; it’s good business.” Texas Women’s Foundation President and CEO Karen Hughes White closed the program by thanking attendees, congratulating award recipients, and reflecting on the collective experience.

The “Voices That Shape Change” session highlighted the power of storytelling and advocacy, as Margie Aguilar and Dr. Olga Martinez Hickman shared how they use their respective platforms to drive meaningful community impact.

girls across North Texas. DJ K-Sprinkles started the morning off with a highly competitive song battle that led into interactive workshops that included “Stand In Your Strengths” and a “Strong, Smart, and Bold” mindset. Girls were also given a tour of the University of Dallas, where the conference was held, which gave them insight and vision into what attending college could look like. From dance, to meaningful connection, the day showed what was possible when girls are given the tools and space to lead.
