Joshua Ramus, FAIA, NOMA, is founding principal of internationally acclaimed REX. Work includes the Perelman Performing Arts Center, The Lindemann Performing Arts Center, and 2050 M Street. Current projects include mixed-use skyscrapers in Perth, two residential towers at Domino Sugar Factory, two hybrid retail / cultural hubs for Kia Motors, and an office tower in Brisbane. Seminal projects include the AT&T PAC Wyly Theatre in Dallas, the Vakko Media Headquarters in Istanbul, and the Seattle Central Library, all while NYC partner for OMA. His many honors include two AIA National Honor Awards, Time magazine’s Building of the Year, three Mies Crown Hall Americas awards, Architectural Digest’s AD100; and numerous state AIA, Architect/Progressive Architecture, Architect’s Newspaper, Architectural Review, Architizer, and Wallpaper* design awards. Ramus is a Visiting Critic at the GSD and was Visiting Professor at Yale and Rice. Ramus spoke for The Forum on April 9, 2026.
