Sharon Johnston and Mark Lee design award-winning projects of diverse scale and type, spanning fourteen countries throughout North and South America, Europe, and Asia. They spoke for The Forum on April 12, 2023. Projects include the Menil Drawing Institute, a renovation of MOCA Chicago; new Dropbox headquarters; Roy Lichtenstein Studio and the Hauptbau at the Kunstmuseum Basel. Sharon is Professor in Practice at the Harvard GSD, and Mark is the Chair of the Department of Architecture at the GSD. Both have also taught at Princeton and UCLA and held the Cullinan Chair at Rice and the Frank Gehry International Chair at the University of Toronto. They have over 50 major awards and received the Arts and Letters Award in Architecture. Publications include House Is a House Is a House Is a House Is a House. Their work is in the permanent collections of MOMA, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Menil Collection, and SF MOMA. Sharon and Mark were the Artistic Directors of the 2017 Chicago Architecture Biennial.
