Details, Beautifully Explained INCLUDED WITH YOUR RENTAL Complimentary admission for you, your guests, and your vendors, up to the capacity of your selected garden, allowing everyone to enjoy the beauty of the Dallas Arboretum on your wedding day. The dedicated support of an on-site Event Facilitator throughout your rental period. Your Event Facilitator works behind the scenes to coordinate vendor arrivals and departures, oversee venue operations, and help maintain the privacy of your celebration, ensuring your day unfolds seamlessly.
ENHANCEMENTS AND ADDITIONS Parking is available for you, your guests, and your vendors for an additional fee, with payment collected per vehicle upon arrival. For proposals hosted in one of our Grand Ceremony Gardens during evening hours, outdoor ambient lighting may be required depending on the season to ensure a beautifully illuminated setting. Your Sales Manager will be happy to provide additional details and pricing. As a non-profit organization, the Dallas Arboretum does not charge sales tax or service fees. A 3% convenience fee applies only to payments made by credit card. To ensure every guest enjoys a seamless experience, we kindly ask that all events conclude within the contracted rental period. Celebrations extending beyond the reserved time may be subject to overtime charges beginning at $200, based on the additional staffing required.
ALWAYS BEAUTIFUL, RAIN OR SHINE As an outdoor venue, the Dallas Arboretum encourages couples to have a weather contingency plan in place for their proposal. This may include umbrellas or an alternate off-site location should inclement weather arise. If an indoor or covered space is available on the day of your proposal, we will gladly explore the possibility of accommodating your event; however, availability cannot be guaranteed. For added peace of mind, we are pleased to offer one complimentary weather-related postponement, allowing you to reschedule your proposal for a future date. Please note that garden location is subject to availability at the time of rescheduling.
PROPOSALS DURING FESTIVAL SEASON From mid-September to the first of November, there are pumpkins in select locations around the garden. We try to keep these in the main public areas and away from the proposal gardens, but it’s not guaranteed. During Holiday at the Arboretum from mid-November to early January, we do have holiday decorations displayed throughout the garden. During our Dallas Blooms Season from the end of February to early April, we have tulips throughout the garden. From April until September artists are featured throughout the garden. The art may not be moved or covered.
PROPOSALS DURING PUBLIC HOURS While our gardens operate as private event spaces, the garden reserves the right to remain open to the public during a contracted event. In such instances, all areas included in the Client’s rental agreement will be clearly marked and stanchioned off to ensure privacy and minimize disruption. Public access will be restricted from these designated areas, and the Arboretum will make reasonable efforts to preserve the atmosphere, privacy, and overall experience of the event.
PROPOSAL GARDEN POLICIES Amplified music is not allowed during the daytime per the City of Dallas noise ordinance. Acoustic music or a small blue tooth speaker is allowed as long as the volume level does not exceed 55 decibels. Vendors must load in using their own carts and will only have access to the garden during the designated rental time. No golf carts will be provided for the mobility impaired guests. Wheelchairs are available at the information booth, at the main entry. We are a “no open flame” property, meaning we do not allow any smoking, fireworks, sparklers or any other open flame property. Only battery operated (LED) candles are allowed. The following are also not permitted: tacks, staples, tape, awnings, gazebos, balloons, birdseed, rice, confetti, streamers not attached to a stick, and artificial rose petals. If you use rose petals on the ground, they must be real petals and white or ivory in color. All petals must be picked up or you will incur a $250 plus cleaning fee. The City of Dallas does not allow changing in the public restrooms, meaning you will have to arrive dressed and ready.
BOOKING YOUR PROPOSAL Once you've selected your preferred date and garden, your Sales Manager will gather a few details to prepare your contract. To officially reserve your proposal, we require a signed contract and payment in full of the rental fee. Payments may be made by credit card, check, or cash. Please note that a 3% convenience fee applies to all credit card transactions.
