“We use Udder Comfort™ on cows with hard quarters and our fresh cows and heifers to reduce swelling. It removes the swelling faster than anything else, making fresh animals more comfortable and especially helping first-calf heifers come into their milk better,” Alan Chittenden reports. He is a partner with his brothers and parents in Dutch Hollow Farms, Schodack Landing, New York and serves as herd manager.
“I believe Udder Comfort really helps, which is why I don’t hesitate to use it,” he says. “We spray it on our fresh animals at least once or twice a day for the first few days after calving. They milk 685 Jerseys, producing high quality, low-SCC milk marketed through Agri-Mark to several high profile cheesemakers as well as being part of the group of farms bottling ‘Hudson Valley Fresh.’
