“We’ve been using fungicides from BASF for Àve years on corn and two years on alfalfa.” - John Funk and his son, Greg, from Funk’s Midway Dairy 600 cows “We got started using Headline or BASF fungicides when our crop consultant recommended for us to try a test strip on both corn and alfalfa and we found corn to look healthier and alfalfa to have a greener plant down in the canopy. We have only applied Headline on our Àrst cutting alfalfa but are planning on applying Headline on our second crop this year, said Greg and John Funk. We continue to use BASF products on alfalfa for two reasons. First of all, we had higher yields. We know we had 1/2 – 3/4 ton more per acre on Àrst cutting. Secondly, faster re-growth. We noticed after we chopped it greened up faster and had better re-growth at the start. Where we sprayed Headline it greened up in three days, it took four days where we didn’t spray Headline. The corn plants are also healthier with more tons per acre.”
