30-DAY REGIONAL OUTLOOK A storm system will be emerging from the Rockies into the Plains this weekend. This will bring the chance for some snow to the region, especially on Sunday. Southeastern parts of the region will have the chance for some rain and possibly ice. Colder air will work in behind the storm system for the early and middle part of next week with seasonably cold temperatures. Looking ahead over the next 30 days through the first week or two of March, temperatures and precipitation amounts are both expected to be near average for this time of the year as the region will be in between a large ridge of high pressure aloft across the western United States and a dip in the jet stream along the East Coast.
