Robert and Mary Smith with sons, Jarod and Justin along with Robert’s father, Ross, operate a multi-generational modern dairy that has been in the Smith family since 1893. The farm is almost as impressive as the Holsteins bred there! My Ladys Manor Farm continues to be a key source of top genetics for all dairy producers worldwide. They have supplied the Holstein gene pool with terrific AI sires, proven and sampled for nearly thirty years. Most of this has been accomplished by one cow family, the Jemini family, largely through Ladys-Manor Top Gun Jemini 3E-93 GMD. The ‘Jeminis’ currently have as many as nine consecutive generations that have placed sons in AI! On the August 2010 GTPI Young Sire list, the #1 bull is Ladys-Manor PL Shamrock +2411 and also #1 GLPI sire in Canada, and his full brother, Ladys-Manor PL Shameless +2294 is #7. Plus, there are two more bulls from this family in the top twelve of that list. These four young sires are all grandsons of Ladys-Manor Ruby D. The majority of this bull mother family have been scored high Very Good and Excellent with the highest scored being Ladys-Manor Ruby Jen 2E-94 GMD DOM, the dam of Ruby D. This family has also won numerous AllMaryland awards! In addition, there are countless 40,000+ milk records produced in the Jemini family.
