GAC India handles Multi-Port Heavy Lift shipments for Jumbo MUMBAI: When the specialised heavy lift carrier MV Fairpartner called at a series of Indian ports, GAC India was appointed to act as her agent. The company’s extensive national coverage enabled GAC to provide the same high standard of support for the vessel operated by Jumbo Shipping V.O.F wherever she went. “From start to finish, it was critical to ensure safe berthing with no effect of swell, which could otherwise make this cargo operation unsafe,” says Captain Srinivasan Sethumadhavan, General Manager - Shipping of GAC India. For the first leg of the journey, more than 3,300 MT of EO reactor, wash tower, steam dr um and column de-ethanizer arrived at Hazira on barges, some of which were loaded from quayside. Cont’d. India’s average ship turnaround time at Major Ports improves NEW DELHI: The average turnaround time for ships at major ports in India has reduced by 35 percent over the last six years, indicating a significant improvement in the country’s port management infrastructure. Ports are considered major growth drivers as they play an important role in a country’s economic development. One of the key indicators to measure the efficiency of ports is turnaround time — the time a ship spends entering, unloading, loading and exiting the port — which has improved considerably over the past few years. Ships’ average turnaround at the country’s major ports fell from 4 days in 2014-15 to 2.59 days in 2019-20, according to the Economic Sur vey 2020-21, released last month. However, this has increased from 2.48 days in 2018-19, and is likely to rise further in the current year (2.62 days during April-September 2020-21). “As per the latest UNCTAD data, the median ship turnaround time globally is 0.97 days, suggesting that India has room to further improve upon the efficiency at ports,” the Economic Survey said. About 95 percent of India’s trade by volume and 68 percent by value moves through maritime transport. India has 12 major ports and 200 minor ports along its 7,517-km-long coastline, which acts as a natural resource for Cont’d. Pg. 18 facilitating trade.

The position of the Fairpartner’s onboard cranes meant it had to be turned around and the barges shifted to make the cargo accessible. Eight heavy lift coastal packages were loaded at Hazira for onward discharge at Paradip and Dhamra, and GAC India arranged for the Netherlandsflagged vessel to be converted to coastal run and then back to foreign run at Dhamra. “The operations at Hazira were challenging as we had to consider the overall width to accommodate the vessel as well as the barge, and the seven berthing days required,” says Captain Srinivasan. “Thanks to the support of port officials and the careful pre-planning by Jumbo team and o u r t e a m ’ s m e t i c u l o u s Harbour mobile crane handling execution, there was no delay or disruption throughout the vessel’s stay.” Seven of the eight packages were discharged onto a selfpropelled modular trailer (SPMT) at Paradip, after turning around the vessel. Then, two harbour mobile cranes weighing 837.50 MT were loaded as coastal cargo at Kakinada deep water port for discharge later at Gopalpur Berth. The GAC India and Jumbo teams had worked closely together to take care of every aspect of the month-long operation. From preparation of gears, rigging of cargo and ballast preparation on board, to shifting of hatch covers/stabiliser pontoons, and cargo handling including lashing and slings, the Jumbo vessel crew had proficiently

handled them all while adhering to the stringent COVID-19 safety protocols. On the final stop of the Fairpartner’s journey before setting sail for Singapore, a BOG recondenser weighing 132.75 MT was discharged at Dhamra. GAC’s presence at all the ports enabled the efficient mobilisation of resources for the operations. “Jumbo’s detailed planning and close cooperation between the experienced GAC team and professional vessel crew ensured smooth operations at every port,” adds Captain Srinivasan. “We also thank Vessel Manager, Mr. Martijn Huijgens and Mr. Gautamraj Sharma of Wheel & Time Logistics for their support throughout the entire operation.”

World-Class Dredgers will be made in India soon : Shipping & Ports Ministry NEW DELHI: Memorandum of Understandings signed between Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) and Dredging Corporation of India (DCI) and largest dredger maker of the world, Royal IHC Holland BV, in the presence of Shri Mansukh Mandaviya Minister of State (I/C) for Ports, Shipping and Waterways and Mr Marten van den Berg, Ambassador of Netherlands in New Delhi. "As part of Government of India’s thrust on Blue Economy, there is an ever-increasing demand to develop and maintain existing major ports, building new ports, offshore resource exploration, deployment of ultramega-size vessels, promotion of tourism, and beach nourishment. Considering India's vast coastline of over 7,500 km along the east and west coasts this would in turn lead to significant dredging in the country. This partnership will help the country g r o w. " s a i d S h r i M a n s u k h Mandaviya. "CSL and IHC Holland BV have arrived at an understanding to work together to provide locally built world-class dredgers. High-capacity dredgers in the range of 8000 Cu Meter to 12,000 Cu Meter are complex equipment being built in India for the first time. It is also significant that IHC Holland BV, the world leaders in design and construction of dredgers are also part of the Make in India initiative. For the first time three giants in the industry are joining hands for making world class dredgers within India.

This initiative is concrete proof of the Ministry, CSL and DCI's commitment to the spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat, and sets a benchmark in building capabilities within India drive 'Make in India' said Shri Madhu S Nair, Chairman and Managing Director of Cochin Shipyard. The MoU of CSL with Royal IHC would be a great opportunity for India to showcase the capability under ‘Make In India’ and establish the capability to construct such large dredgers. M/s IHC,

Holland, is the world leader with largest market share in the world for the design and construction of dredgers and is renowned worldwide for their quality and performance. M/s IHC is an integrated solution provider and is much ahead of any competitor in knowledge, expertise, t e c h n o l o g y, R e s e a r c h & Development, Innovation etc. in the field of Dredger design and construction. The MoU of CSL and DCI, in turn would necessitate procurement of additional highcapacity dredgers. The decision to get the vessels constructed in India is in line with the ‘Atamanirbhar Bharat’ vision of the Government of India. Dredging Corporation of India (DCI) controls the majority of the maintenance dredging market in India and dredging services for the major ports. With increased dredging requirements on the East & West Coast of India, being p r o j e c t e d a s p a r t o f Po r t developments, DCI envisages a requirement to increase their dredging capacity. With more infrastructure projects on the anvil across the major Ports in India, the requirement of such dredgers in the future can also be met in India once we acquire the expertise. This joint effort by CSL and DCI sets a precedent for Indian private and public players to build large complex vessels at global standards in India, and extend support to Government of India’s vision of building an ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’.

PPT executes 27 Nos. of MoU worth Rs. 27,450 cr. with various stakeholders ahead of Maritime India Summit (MIS) 2021 PARADIP: Paradip Port, the 2nd largest Major Port in terms of cargo handling has executed 27 Nos. of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with various stakeholders to further enhance the economic growth of the State of Odisha and the country as a whole under the Maritime India Summit (MIS) 2021. The MoUs were signed on behalf of PPT by respective HoDs and Sr. Officials and Sr. officials of representing organisations in presence of Shri Vinit Kumar, Chairman and Shri A.K. Bose, Dy. Chairman, PPT. Addressing the Press Meet over video conferencing, Chairman, PPT appealed everyone to make the Mega International Event a grand success. He shared with the Press the details about the upcoming sessions and process of registration to participate in the Summit. The Union Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways will conduct the MIS from March 2 - 4, 2021. The summit intends to be a powerful platform for international collaboration with partner countries for mutual exchange of knowledge and opportunities and also leading towards the Atmanirbhar Bharat.

NMPT signs 7 MoUs for projects worth Rs 1,417 crore MANGALORE: The New Mangalore P o r t Tr u s t ( N M P T ) a n d v a r i o u s stakeholders and prospective investors signed seven MoUs worth Rs 1,417 core at the Mangaluru Innovation Conclave recently. M Venkatesh, MD, MRPL and A.V Ramana Chairman, NMPT signed two MoUs including for the construction of a desalination plant in the land already leased out by NMPT at a proposed investment of Rs 637 crore. The other MoU was for the laying of BSVI HSD pipeline from MRPL refinery premises to NMPT at a proposed cost of Rs 73 crore. The MOU was signed with Rohit Vora, Director, Adani Cementation limited and KG Nath deputy chairman, NMPT for setting up conveyor system, Silos, packing plant and other allied facilities to receive, store, pack and distribute, cement, fly ash and slag to the State’s hinterland and neighbouring states in the port allotted land at an estimated cost of Rs 133 crore. YR Belagal, Traffic Manager, NMPT, signed an MOU with Shivanand Rai, Group General Manager, Central Wa r e h o u s i n g C o r p o r a t i o n f o r t h e development of warehousing facilities named CWC-Distripark Mangalur u and container freight station –

C W C - C F S Impex Park Mangaluru in 13.6 acres and 15-20 acres of port land, respectively, at an approximate cost of Rs 100 crore. An MOU was also signed with the Indian Oil Corporation for the construction of a tank farm and renovation of the oil terminal that will enhance the turnaround time of the oil tankers at an estimated cost of Rs 350 crore. Captain Chowdary of the Dredging Corporation of India Limited signed an MOU with SR Pattnayak, chief engineer (civil) for three years post-monsoon maintenance dredging at NMPT at the cost of Rs 111.22 crore. Similarly, Kaushik Bishayee, Assistant General Manager, UltraTech Cement Limited and AV Harinath Chief Engineer (Civil) signed an MoU for the construction of 5000 MT capacity cement Silo with allied structures and equipment at the cost of Rs 13 crore.

Rapidly evolving Multi-Modal ecosystem to boost trade in Eastern region: CWBTA Kolkata - The Indian economy, estimated to have contracted by 8 per cent in 2020, is coming out of the covid shock with the world’s largest corona vaccination program in progress. “The trade and commerce in the country and the eastern region is not only set to gradually pick up and rebound by the end of the current year, but also post robust growth over the next five years riding on the growing infrastructure projects and rapidly evolving multimodal ecosystem in the country,” said M r S u s h i l Po d d a r, P r e s i d e n t o f Confederation of West Bengal Trade Associations (CWBTA) – the apex trade body of eastern India. The Confederation is organising the CWBTA Trade Excellence Award 2021 on 27 February 2021 in Kolkata to be attended by representatives of leading trade and commerce bodies, industrialists, trading houses and the diplomatic corps. The Trade Excellence Award 2021, would felicitate achievers in 14 different categories related to trade and commerce. The objective of CWBTA Trade Excellency Award is “… to encourage self-esteem of Traders and highlighting importance of Distributive Trade in Economic Growth,” said Mr Narender Kapadia, advisor to the CWBTA. “Trade Excellence Award is a great for um for recognising and awarding achievers who have contributed to sector,” said Mr V K Bhandari, Advisor CWBTA and Founder Chairman and Managing Director, Supertron.

“As Atmanirbhar India gears up to reach a target of $10 trillion economy by 2030 the Indian economy, there are many positive indicators pointing to a robust trade and commerce ecosystem in the next five years and eastern region would greatly benefit from it. The US$ 105 million project to develop the inland water transport system in Kolkata, West Bengal, signed by the Government of India, Government of West Bengal and the World Bank on January 5, 2021, is one such example. The union transport ministry has lined up bids for national highways worth about Rs 72,000 crore spanning about 2,600 km to be awarded by the end of the current quarter. This will give a major push to projects in the current financial year, which have been deeply impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. Also, the healthy economic growth of neighbouring Bangladesh would be an added advantage for regional trade,” Mr Rajesh Bhatia, H o n y. G e n e r a l S e c r e t a r y o f Confederation of West Bengal Trade Associations said. According to a Bloomberg Intelligence report, the Indian economy would need to grow at an average annual rate of 9% and the GDP is projected to grow from $2.7 trillion in 2019 to $5 trillion by 2025 making Indian economy the third largest by 2026 as India graduates from a lower-middleincome to an upper-middle-income economy over the next decade. CWBTA has conceptualised Trade Excellence Award so as to appreciate and recognise

the role of Traders in the Economic growth of the region, Mr Bhatia said. According to the World Bank, roads account for 65% of freight; the railways 27 per cent and inland waterways only 0.5 per cent. The rapid growth of multimodal transport – still an evolving solution in India with different modes of transport in their various stages of evolution – will greatly enhance trade and commerce in the years ahead. Real examples of multi-modal transport are being seen in the Northeast where cargo is being transported to Guwahati through trucks, from where air cargo is being used to transport fresh produce to West Asian and other countries. S i m i l a r l y, t h e w a t e r w a y s a r e changing India’s multi-modal transport mix. The World Bank estimates India has approximately 14,500 km of navigable water ways but freight movement through waterways is just 0.5 per cent. However, according to the shipping ministr y data, this has increased from 0.4 per cent to about 2 per cent over the last five to six years. The share of waterways could touch 4 to 5 per cent in 10 years. “CWBTA has emerged as the apex trading body of eastern region to bring over 1.5 million traders under its fold and articulate their demands and concerns. With trade and commerce footprint and volume set to grow rapidly in the eastern region, CWBTA is geared up to act as a catalyst to promote regional trade and commerce,” Mr Poddar said.

TRADE NOTICE NO.43/2020-21 Sub.:Electronic filing and Issuance of Preferential Certificate of Origin (CoO) for India’s Exports under India-Mercosur PTA and India-Thailand EHS w.e.f. 25th February 2021 In continuation to the earlier Trade Notice(s) 34/2015-2020 dated 19.09.2019, 41/2019-2020 dated 12.12.2020, 53/2019-2020 dated 02.03.2020, 01/2020-2021 dated 07.04.2020 and 30/2020-2021 dated 13.10.2020, it is informed that the electronic platform for Preferential Certificate of Origin(CoO) is being expanded further to add two (2) more FTAs/PTAs to facilitate electronic application of Preferential Certificates of Origin under the given Trade Agreements. 2. The Preferential Certificate of Origin for exports to countries under the following trade agreements i.e. i. India-Mercosur Preferential Trade Agreement ii. India-Thailand Early Harvest Scheme shall also be applied and issued from the CoO e-platform with effect from 25th February 2021. No manual application for such a CoO should be submitted to an issuing agency from 25th February 2021. Any manual applications submitted prior to the given date may however be processed by the issuing agencies. 3. It is informed that for these applications under the above mentioned Trade Agreements, the e-CoO system shall generate all the existing set of CoO copies besides an additional copy i.e. electronic copy. The electronic copy shall bear the image signature of the officer and stamp of the issuing agency. The exporter may however get the remaining copies duly inksigned by the issuing officer along with the stamp of the issuing office. The paper copies of the CoOs so issued may be collected by post or in person, for any submission to the Trade Agreement's partner countries authorities. 4. The concerned Indian Exporters may please take note of the following points with regard to the process being notified herewith: • Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) would be required for the purpose of electronic submission. The digital signature would be the same as used in other DGFT applications; • The digital signature may be Class II or Class III and should have the IEC of the firm embedded in the DSC; • Any new applicant exporter would be required to initially register at the portal. The password would be sent on the email and mobile number of the IEC holder. In case the IEC holder desires to update their email on which communication is to be sent, the same may be done by using the ‘IEC Profile Management’ service on the DGFT website https://dgft.gov.in • Once registration is completed, the IEC branch details would be auto-populated as per the DGFT-IEC database. MPT to sign 20 MoUs to unlock Rs 3.5k cr investment PANJI: Mormugao Port Trust is all set to ink 20 agreements with various industry partners and government bodies during the three-day Maritime India Summit, which will commence on March 2. The agreements are expected to unlock investments to the tune of Rs 3500 crore, said MPT chairman E Ramesh Kumar. Kumar, who addressed the press on Wednesday, said that the summit will help attract investment to Goa, particularly in the maritime sector. “MPT and the Goa government will present investment opportunities in the ports and maritime sector in Goa to the global investor community. I am hopeful that this summit will lead to sharing of knowledge but also give us an opportunity to invite investments in a big way,” Kumar said.

One of the MoUs that MPT will ink is with the Indian Port Rail and Ropeway Corporation Ltd to undertake a feasibility study for the Vasco-Dona Paula ropeway project. The second edition of the Maritime India Summit, which is being held v i r t u a l l y, w i l l s e e P r i m e M i n i s t e r Narendra Modi deliver the inaugural address and release the Maritime India Vision 2030. Modi is also expected to launch the Sagarmala – Sagartat Samridhi Yojana, Arth Ganga programme, the National Logistic Portal (Marine) and a promotional scheme for flagging of ships in India. The summit aims to showcase and promote both domestic and international investment in the Indian ports and maritime sector and is being organised till

March 4. The state government along with the Konkan Maritime Cluster is participating in the Summit along with nine other states and 42 nations. The Union ministry of shipping hopes to kick start the investment in port modernisation and new port development, ship building, ship repair and ship recycling, inland waterways transport, coastal shipping, multi-modal logistics, bulk cargo transportation, port-led industrialisation and maritime clusters. “ Wi t h t h e a i m t o p r o m o t e t h e development of the Chabahar port, the last day of the summit has been dedicated exclusively for the development of Chabahar as a maritime hub for trade with Afghanistan and the International North South Transport Corridor countries,” Kumar said.

India’s average ship turnaround time at Major Ports improves Cont’d. from Pg. 3 The total cargo capacity of the country’s major ports rose to 1,534.91 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) at the end of March 2020, from 871.52 MTPA at end-March 2014. “A consistent growth of around 6 percent was maintained in overall port traffic between 2015-16 and 2018-19. It decelerated to 1.98 percent in 2019-20 before falling sharply in 2020 owing to the lockdown in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic,” the Economic Survey said. Port efficiency can shape countries’ trade competitiveness. Every hour of port time saved by ships translates into savings

in port infrastructure expenditure for ports, ship capital costs for carriers, and inventory holding outlays for shippers, according to the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development. Pradip port along the eastern coast in Odisha has shown the biggest improvement in reducing the turnaround time of ships from 7 days in 2014-15 to less than 3 days. Cochin port in Kerala recorded the lowest (1.66 days) turnaround time, while Mormugao (3.94 days) in Goa has the highest among all the major ports. A study was conducted for measuring efficiency and productivity of

major ports to bring them on par with international standards. The study identified 116 port-wise action points of which 93 were completed, which resulted in reduction of turnaround time, the government had informed parliament in November 2019. Cargo traffic at Indian ports is estimated to reach 2500 MMTPA by 2025, for which the government has prepared a roadmap for increasing the capacity to 3300+ MMTPA under the Sagarmala project. This includes port operational efficiency improvement, capacity expansion of existing ports and new port development.

Vaccine supply chain to come under threat as roll out expands •Food & beverage sector remains largest target at 31% LONDON: The most significant trend highlighted by the report was the relative shift in the location of thefts, with intransit incidents and those involving vehicles showing a decline, though remaining the most dominant threat, and theft from storage facilities increasing. The extent of the rise in the latter was variable from region to region however this trend was reflective of the disruption to supply chains brought about by radical changes to consumer buying patterns as a consequence of the pandemic. TT Club’s Managing Director, Loss Prevention, Mike Yarwood explains more, “The effects throughout 2020 of the COVID crisis threatened supply chain security, continuity and resilience. Not only did newly created high-value commodities such as PPE become targets for theft but bottle-necks in the logistics infrastructure at ports and warehouses brought increased potential risks. Temporary overflow storage facilities added to the dangers in loosening the grip of existing security systems.” Although specific incidents have not yet occurred, unless distribution plans for vaccines are perfectly executed within the expectations of any given population, challenges will arise in protecting the single most valuable cargo of all in the coming months.

The accompanying infographics give an overview of the global data findings, but regional variances are worthy of note. In Europe, the stockpiling of goods meant these inventories came under particular threat with 48% of 2020 reported thefts coming from warehouses and production facilities. In Asia, the countries with the highest risk remain India, Indonesia, China and Bangladesh. The proportion of storagebased risk remains around 50% in Asia as a whole but in Southeast Asia the in-transit risk indicates the prevalence of bribery and corruption with a high percentage of thefts being facilitated by employees and customs or other officials. North America continues to see theft coming almost exclusively in-transit via hijackings or directly from a parked vehicle. The risk of social unrest, particularly in Mexico, arguably impacted the risk of cargo loss through most of last year. Significant disruption to the Mexican rail freight industry, with protesters setting up blockades on train tracks, created a backup of cargo across the country. This disruption led to estimated losses of close to US$4.4billion

In South America, Brazil was a hotspot last year. A key driver of the high rates of cargo theft here remains the presence of major illegal drug smuggling gangs that need to fund their trafficking efforts. Again, the dominant risks were from hijacking and theft from or of vehicles. These theft types accounted for 78% of the total losses reported. The extreme rate of cargo theft, however, did drop for the first time in several years, as continued efforts by police and industry contributed to a slight decline in incidents in 2020. In the coming year disruption and the uneven resumption of international trade resulting from the spread of COVID will continue with imbalances in shipping container distribution that are likely to impact maritime, and through a knock-on effect air cargo capacity throughout 2021. The added vulnerability of cargo will therefore continue. The key to mitigating threats in 2021 is to stay ahead of the risk. BSI and TT Club have once more collaborated to analyse the detail of these risks. In the report, the authors furthermore offer mitigation techniques so organisations can proactively understand their risk and build a supply chain that is ahead of the criminal tactics and emerging threats.

Intermarine and SAL Heavy Lift say “Ola Brasil” and establish a new joint ofce in São Paulo

SÃO PAULO: An exciting new venture is about to unfold in Brazil. On March 1st 2021, Intermarine Brazil and SAL Heavy Lift Brazil will open their doors in the great South American country. By establishing a joint office, the two heavy lift shipping & logistics companies are set to strengthen their operations in South America and expand their activities within the project cargo and breakbulk sectors.

Intermarine and SAL Heavy Lift are ready to dance the samba. The two sister companies are very pleased to announce their establishment of a new joint strategic sales office in the important cargo hub of Brazil. Staffed by seasoned commercial and chartering personnel, the new office will focus on servicing the needs of worldwide customers, supporting Intermarine’s Americas Liner Service and the heavy lift shipping activities of SAL Heavy Lift. Svend Andersen, CEO Intermarine says: “I have done business in Brazil for more than 30 years and know the great importance of the country on the global heavy lift and break bulk scene. With our new joint establishment, we will offer our customers a local access point to a truly unique service with the combination of SAL’s global project and semi-liner services and Intermarine’s very strong Americas liner service and breakbulk business. I look forward to seeing our activities grow in Brazil with this new initiative in São Paulo”.

The office will be headed by Natalie Jones, a veteran in the Brazilian breakbulk and project cargo sector, where she has worked for leading carriers, including Intermarine, for more than 25 years. With a team of 5, she will take the lead in building up the new South American business base. Natalie Jones, General Manager, SAL / Intermarine Brazil, states; “Brazil holds plenty of opportunities – especially within the power, energy and infrastructure arenas. With the combined ser vices of Intermarine and SAL, our team has a very strong product to market, and I look forward to growing both business and brands together with the rest of the international teams.” And it feels good to be back to the great outfit where I first began my career! Both Intermarine and SAL have considered, for quite some time, expanding its commitment to the Brazilian market as a natural steppingstone to strengthening their presence throughout the Americas. Allcargo Logistics organises blood donation drive in Mumbai Collaborates with Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital (LTMG), Sion to hold camps in Uran, Panvel and Kalina MUMBAI: Keeping up with its tradition of showing the human side by extending support, setting examples, and giving hope in the unprecedented time, Allcargo Logistics, India’s largest end-to-end integrated logistics provider, organised a blood donation drive in Mumbai in collaboration with LTMG Hospital (Sion Hospital). The blood donation drive led by Avashya Foundation, the CSR arm of Allcargo Logistics, held blood donation camps in Uran, Panvel and Kalina and collected 166 units of blood. The camp followed all the health advisories and social distancing norms to ensure health and safety of the participants. The blood donation drive is a part of Allcare, an employee volunteering programme of Allcargo Logistics. Confusion and concerns related to blood donation during the pandemic phase have led to the decrease in the number of blood donation camps. Shortage in blood supply, as a result, has adversely impacted various medical treatments and operations which require blood. The blood donation camps aim to reiterate the significance of voluntary blood donations. “Regular blood donation is essential, as blood has a shelf life and it can’t be preserved for perpetuity. We have organised the blood donation drive to make an earnest effort to arrange blood to the patients who require blood for treatments and create awareness on the importance of regularly donating blood. We express our heartfelt gratitude to Sion Hospital for joining hands with us and thank all the donors for coming forward to make our initiative a success. We urge others to participate in blood donation to save lives,” said Arathi Shetty, Non-Executive Director, Allcargo Logistics.

“I thank Allcargo Logistics and Sion Hospital for organising the blood donation camp and giving me an opportunity to do my bit to help someone in need of blood. The donation camp has been well-organised, and the organisers have taken utmost care to ensure the health and safety of the donors,” said Ambadas Yadav, donor from the Uran camp. Since its inception, Avashya Foundation has been working towards inclusive people-centric community development with a mission to give back to the society. Aligned with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, the Foundation is actively working in areas such as education, environment, health, women empowerment, disaster relief and sports.
