to construct phase three of the district hospital but it has failed to complete the project. F Kalusha Bwalya will not be on the ballot, the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) elections will not take place, Damiano Academy FC proprietor Damiano Mutale has said. Mutale has sued FAZ and its general secretary Adrian Kashala in the Ndola High Court where they earlier obtained an ex-
parte injunction restraining the association from conducting the election and electoral process. Mutale said it is unfair that the FAZ executive amended its constitution to block individuals such as Kalusha from contesting the elections. He however noted that Kalusha will be on the ballot after the judgement from the Constitutional Court despite the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) having terminated his appeal where the football icon had challenged FAZ for allegedly denying him the chance to contest the elections. "We can’t give up because we are fighting for the good of Zambian football which is dead. "Kalu is still in the race and the Zambian courts will decide whether he will be on the ballot but for us we are very sure that Kalu will be on the ballot after the ruling from the Constitutional Court," Mutale
said. "We want harmony in our game for football to go forward but if Kalu will not be on the ballot then there will be no elections." Mutale will have to wait for the Constitutional Court ruling set for June 23, 2020. Mutale who was also banned for life by FAZ for putting the name of the game into disrepute challenged the association to lift the ban imposed on various individuals whose desire is to contribute to the growth of the Zambian game. Meanwhile Mutale has urged individuals advising Kalu to forget about the FAZ top job to stop because Kalu has experience to rejuvenate Zambian football. "It is unwise for people to say that Kalu should forget about FAZ. Kalu is Zambian and as Zambians we are all entitled to take part in the development of Zambian football," Mutale said.
