Thanks to Community Action Services and Food Bank in Provo, these children have a great resource for help. Community Action gathers donations of food, pre-assembled nutrition packs, and monetary donations, so that they can distribute completed packs to teachers, who can put a pack in a hungry child’s backpack during recess so that the other kids don’t notice.
The total number of packs came in at 2100 pounds, which is enough to feed 2250 hungry kids in our community. If you’d like to learn more about the needs in our Valley or get involved with Community Action, visit www.communityactionprovo.org
