On behalf of the City of Santaquin, it is my pleasure to welcome you to Orchard Days 2026! Thank you for being part of this cherished community celebration.

Orchard Days is a time when our community truly shines—through the parade, auto show, rodeos, and countless family-friendly events. It is one of the best times of the year in our city, bringing neighbors together, creating lasting memories, and showcasing the small-town charm that makes Santaquin so special.

We are proud to kick off the festivities with the Posting of the Colors and the opportunity to honor one of Santaquin’s veterans for his service to our nation. We are also excited to host the Little Buck-

A-Roo Rodeo—Utah’s largest event of its kind. Families and contestants travel from across the state to participate in this award-winning tradition, along with our celebrated RMPRA Rodeos. If you have never experienced them before, make this the year you do—you will not be disappointed.

No night at Orchard Days is complete without our spectacular fireworks displays. Following the Friday and Saturday rodeos, gather with friends, family, and neighbors under the summer sky to enjoy a show that has become a beloved tradition in our community.

MISS SANTAQUIN 2026

JAMIE SENSINGER

Jamie Sensinger is the daughter of Allie and Josh Sensinger. Jamie has a deep love for Santaquin, its spirit, its history and its people. She treasures the close-knit character of this community where everyone is kind, friendly and always ready to lend a hand. Santaquin is truly a special place, and its people are what make it home.

This fall, Jamie will be a senior at the Utah County Academy of

Sciences, attending classes at Utah Valley University, and will receive her associate of science degree from UVU when she graduates from high school in the spring. She will also be completing the Dental Assisting program at Mountainland Technical College as she works toward her life goal of becoming a neurologist.

Jamie stays actively involved in school life as president and student board member of her SheTech Club, and she is a member of the Political

Science Club, the Phi Theta Kappa Scientific Research Club and HOSA. She is also the pianist for choir. Outside of school, she is a Life Scout in Scouts BSA and currently working toward earning her Eagle Scout Award. She is passionate about serving her community, which is why she is so incredibly honored and grateful to serve as Miss Santaquin this year. Music is at the heart of everything Jamie does. She plays many instruments, including

bagpipes, piano, organ, guitar and string bass, and she has spent years sharing those gifts with the people around her. She serves as a congregational organist for her church, teaches piano lessons to youth in the community and plays bagpipes with the Payson High School Pipe Band. She also competes as a Grade 3 solo bagpiper across the Intermountain West and volunteers as a bagpiper at funerals in the area, offering comfort and dignity to families during their most tender moments. Music has always been her way of connecting with people, of saying the things words alone cannot. It is that belief in music’s power to connect that drives her platform, “Bridging Generations with Music.” Santaquin is rich with stories, wisdom and traditions held by its older residents, and Jamie believes the younger generation deserves to know them. Music has played an important role in her own life, and she knows firsthand how impactful it can be for others. Sharing stories that help people connect and understand how much they have in common brings her great joy, and she plans to bring that same joy to Santaquin. She will connect with seniors to understand how music helped shape their lives; preserve their voices, memories and favorite songs in a digital archive accessible to families and the whole community; and host a series of music and dance events where everyone can come together to enjoy the music

they love. Through seniors teaching the dances of their youth and young and old discovering just how much they share, Jamie hopes to reduce loneliness, encourage youth service, preserve local history and build the kind of connections that strengthen Santaquin for generations to come.

FIRST ATTENDANT

JENNA MCCLELLAN

Jenna McClellan, daughter of Jan and Janet McClellan, has been blessed to call Santaquin home her entire life. She treasures the beauty of the city and the incredible people who inspire her each day. Jenna is currently attending Utah Valley University where she is working towards her Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance. Her passion is to get her Ph.D. and teach at a university to inspire the next generation of musicians. Jenna loves all things music, ranging from singing to composition to spending a night out at the Utah Symphony, Utah Opera and Hale Center Theater. Outside of music, Jenna enjoys spending time with her loved ones (including her

four-legged friends) as well as pickleball, photography, board games, swimming, writing and watching all kinds of movies, from spooky thrillers to old Hollywood classics. Jenna is honored to have the opportunity to serve the community this year as a member of the Miss Santaquin Royalty.

PAISLEY TERRY

Paisley Terry is the daughter of Kim and Nate Terry. She has lived in Santaquin for most of her life and is very grateful to call it her hometown. She attends Payson High School and plans to graduate in May of 2027. She is currently serving as the president for the Payson FFA chapter and loves to find as many opportunities as possible to serve the chapter and community. She loves to show her livestock, ride horses, go fishing and make floral arrangements. When she is older, she wants to become a florist and horse trainer. She is very excited for the opportunity to serve Santaquin as second attendant in the Miss Santaquin Royalty.

LITTLE MISS ORCHARD DAYS

The Mini, Little, Junior, Jr. Teen and Teen Miss Orchard Days Pageant is not just a pageant — it’s a whirlwind of giggles and glitter for all the fabulous girls who join the party! From making friends to strutting in stunning outfits, it’s a blast!

Little Miss Orchard Days is open to all girls ages 4 to 16. The girls get to show off their talents, shine in interviews and tackle some on-stage questions. Watch out, Santaquin!

The girls participate in the Santaquin Orchard Days Grand Parade and the Rodeo Grand Entry as well as other Orchard Days events. The 2026 pageant was held on June 13. We would love to invite anyone who would like to participate in the 2027 pageant reach out by sending an email to littlemissorcharddays@gmail.com. PARADE GRAND MARSHALS

Gary & Becky Jackson

Gary and Becky Jackson are surprised and deeply honored to serve as the grand marshals for this year’s Orchard Days celebration in the community they both love and proudly call home.

Becky Jackson has spent most of her life in Santaquin, growing up at the mouth of Santaquin Canyon on her family’s 10-acre property. It was at the base of the mountains where she learned the importance of family, faith, hard work and a love for her hometown. Gary Jackson has been part of the Santaquin community for more than 30 years. He hadn’t been here long when he started what is now known as Apex Shed Company from the garage of his home in the late 1990’s; growing it into a thriving family-owned business with several employees and multiple locations. Though the business is now based in nearby Springville, Utah, they have never forgotten that its roots began in Santaquin.

Though life brought them together through difficult circumstances later than expected, Gary and Becky have built a strong and loving blended family (the Jackson/Siggard’s) centered on faith, a “can do” attitude, service, and optimism. Together they are the proud parents of 11 children and grandparents to 13 grandchildren, with two more grandchildren expected this year.

Throughout the years, Gary and Becky have tried to give back to the community that has shaped

their lives. Gary served for several years as a referee in the city’s youth basketball program, and their business has supported many local events and activities, including youth sports and the Santaquin rodeo. Becky worked for more than seven years at Orchard Hills Elementary School and has become known as the friendly face at the front desk of Chisholm Dentistry here in town for nearly 10 years.

Both Gary and Becky have also served in numerous church callings, including youth programs, camps, and leadership positions; always striving to uplift and support those around them.

Over the years and even currently, they have faced significant personal hardships and challenges, but they credit a loving Heavenly Father, hard work, and

the support of family and friends that help them move forward with gratitude and hope. Becky is known for her kindness, welcoming nature, and genuine love for others, while Gary is known as a hardworking entrepreneur and skilled craftsman who believes in giving back whenever possible.

Having watched Santaquin grow from a small rural town into a thriving and vibrant community, Gary and Becky remain excited about the future. They are grateful for the wonderful people who make this city such a special place. They are thankful for their strong pioneer heritage and for the opportunity to continue building friendships with the many wonderful families who have chosen to move to the base of these beloved mountains; becoming part of Santaquin’s story, too.

PROSPECTOR TRAILS SCAVENGER

Participants will follow GPS coordinates to find geocache sites at Prospector View Park. Visit all six sites and get fun prizes at each location. This is a great way for people to get familiar with our trail system.

ORCHARD DAYS 5K & FUN RUN

Join this exciting run through the orchards of Santaquin! Scan the QR code to register for the Orchard Days 5K or 1 Mile Fun Run.

Packet pickup will begin that morning at 6 a.m. The 5K race will begin at 7 a.m.; the Fun Run will start shortly after that.  Finisher medals and race T-shirts will be available for all participants while supplies last. Prizes will be awarded for the top three male and top three female finishers of the 5K.

Santaquin’s mayor and city council will host a flag-raising ceremony officially opening the 2026 Orchard Days celebration on Saturday, Aug. 1, at 8 a.m. in front of Santaquin City Hall, 110 S. Center Street. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.

As part of the ceremony, the city will honor U.S. Army veteran Robert “Berto” Gonzales Jr. Berto was born Aug. 22, 1948, in Gallina, New Mexico. His parents are Robert and Emma Gonzales. They moved to Santaquin when he was 5 years old. He grew up as the oldest son with nine sisters and two brothers. He attended Santaquin Elementary School and graduated from Payson High School in 1967.

Berto married Judy Jarvis on Jan. 10, 1971. They have three children: a daughter, Robbie, who is married to Shayne Ford; and sons Rick G. Gonzales and Wesley Robert Gonzales (who passed away in January 2018). They have eight grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren. Berto worked with his father on the church farm growing beets and doing the job of irrigation. He has had various employment, including working at the Burgin Mine and Geneva Steel-Keigley Quarry as a mechanic, and the Post Office in Provo as a clerk and later as a supervisor. He transferred to

the Spanish Fork Post Office as a custodian to be with Judy; she became his supervisor. He retired in 2007 at the age of 59.

He enlisted in the U.S. Army on March 20, 1968. He was deployed to Vietnam in August 1968. He was in Vietnam for nine months and 17 days.

He was wounded for the first time on April 17, 1969. He was awarded the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. He was wounded the second time on May 12, 1969 — this time seriously. He was awarded the Army Commendation Medal and the Purple Heart. He was honorably discharged from the Army on March 19, 1970.

Berto never slows down. He enjoys family time, golfing, fishing, hunting, camping and traveling. He once shot a hole in one, but it didn’t count; his first shot went in the water, so he shot a mulligan and it went right in the hole.

He says life is good. His favorite expression now that he is retired is, “Every day is Saturday.” He is a dedicated member of the American Legion and his patriotism has no limit.

Our annual Little Buck-A-Roo Rodeo is a grand success each year! All children are encouraged to participate. Pre-registration is required; entrants can register at santaquin.activityreg.com.

Registration deadline is Monday, July 27, and space is limited. Contestants will be able to compete in a variety of categories. For events that have Mini, Junior, Intermediate or Senior listed, the ages are based on the child’s age as of Jan. 1, 2026, and are as follows: Mini, 7 and under; Junior, 8 to 10 years; Intermediate, 11 to 13 years; and Senior, 14 to 18 years.

The free events this year will be the Money Steer for ages 10 and older and a Candy Run for children 9 and younger.

CHUTE DOGGIN’

Chute Doggin’ is a fast-paced rodeo event where a young contestant works with a steer that is held in a chute. When the gate opens, the contestant grabs the steer and uses strength and technique to bring it safely and efficiently to the ground.

The clock stops when the steer is successfully “dogged” (brought down and held briefly in a legal position). Fastest clean time wins, with penalties given for improper technique or safety violations.

PRIZES

• Saddles will go to the top cowgirls and top cowboy in each age group.

• Buckles will be awarded for first place in each category.

RULES

Rules follow the UJRA Association. Western attire (may wear shortsleeved shirts, no tank tops) will be enforced (Mini Division excluded).

The 55+ Dinner is an opportunity for those in the community ages 55 and older to enjoy a fun social activity to kick off the Orchard Days celebration. While the dinner is for those 55 and older, spouses who are younger than 55 are welcome to join in.

The historic Santaquin Chieftain Museum, located at the heart of Santaquin at 95. W. 100 South, will be open at a variety of times for visits from the public during Orchard Days. The museum is filled with local history and offers handson activities for children.

The Chieftain Museum welcomes all groups, families and individuals to enjoy the many displays that are housed in a former elementary school. The Daughters of Utah Pioneers (DUP) are preserving the heritage of Santaquin in the form of a cabin originally built around 1871. This cabin has become the focus for two local camps of the DUP, who honor the early settlers regardless of their religious affiliation by learning about their lives and how they have affected Utah residents today. The public is invited to tour the cabin during Orchard Days.

Bring the kids and enjoy a ride on a pony, horse or even a unicorn! Purchase a ticket for $5 and take a ride on the mount of your choice. The ponies’ names are

Marshmallow, Galaxy, Twinkie and Sprinkles. They are gentle and love attention.

The ponies are led by hand around a 50-foot enclosed pen. Two of the ponies get to be unicorns, and the youth have a hard time deciding which to ride. They love the experience of getting to ride a unicorn!

Participants: Ages 0 to 12 can decorate their bikes, tricycles, wagons, scooters, etc. and come parade them around for everyone to see as part of the 2026 Orchard Days Children’s Parade on Monday, Aug. 3.

Participants are encouraged to decorate their vehicles around the the theme of the celebration of America’s 250th birthday. Those who do are invited to have their entries judged. There will be first-, second- and third-place prizes awarded for the entries judged to best reflect the theme.

Princesses & Knights of the Orchard: Step into a storybook morning at the Royal Tea Party on Tuesday, Aug. 4. This enchanting event is designed for children ages 3 to 8. Spend a magical hour with Miss Santaquin and her lovely attendants as little royals enjoy sparkling tiaras, knights design their own shields and everyone delights in tasty treats and refreshing “lemonade tea.”

Each child will be crowned or dubbed and receive a special keepsake tiara or shield to take home as a reminder of their royal adventure.

This tournament is open to men ages 16 and older and will be played in a fast-paced 3-on-3 half-court format on the outdoor courts at Centennial Park. Teams may have up to four players on their roster, allowing for one substitute.

Show off your quilting talents at the 2026 Orchard Days Quilt Show! Anyone can enter. There are multiple categories. They are:

• New Quilter- less than 1 year

• Youth under 18 Prizes will be given to the top three quilts in each category as well as a Best in Show. This will be determined by our judges. We will also award a People’s Choice Award voted on by our Quilt Show visitors 16 years old and older. A

new award this year will be the Kids’ Choice Award. All visitors 15 years or younger may vote in this category.

Entries must be delivered to the Santaquin City Hall Multipurpose Room on Wednesday, August 5 between 10 a.m. and noon OR between 2 and 6 p.m. Those entering items will register and pay on site if the entry has not been preregistered.

The fee is $5 per entry with a limit of no more than 3 entries per quilter.

Pick-up will be on Saturday, August 8, from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Santaquin City Building Multipurpose Room or Monday, August 10, or Tuesday, August 11, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Santaquin City Building downstairs in the Community Services/Recreation Offices. John Beck has always had a strong passion for the sport of rodeo. He has been clowning rodeos for 28 years, working his first paying rodeo at the age of 13. During his career, he has worked rodeos everywhere from California to New York. He has had the opportunity to work the PRCA Wilderness Circuit Finals two times and the Rock Mountain Professional Rodeo Association finals five times.

John owes a lot of his success to his late father Bruce Beck and his longtime friend and mentor Pro Rodeo Clown Kevin Higley. John loves to put smiles on peoples faces as well as working the barrel during the bull riding. John has worked the Santaquin Rodeo many times and loves the opportunity to come back again.

The Flashback Brothers band was formed in 2005 by talented musicians hungry to play classic rock. Based in Provo, they are a local fan favorite wherever they play up and down the Wasatch Front. They have performed at many summer festivals, including Art City Days, America’s Freedom Festival, Strawberry Days, Steel Days, the Highland Fling, the Utah County Fair, Fiesta Days and many more. They have opened for such superstars as Orleans, Firefall, Ratt, SHEDaisy and Lou Gramm of Foreigner. Their musicianship and tight harmonies allow them to have a varied repertoire of classic rock songs spanning the ‘50s through the ‘80s.

Longtime father-and-son team and Santaquin residents Tom Manzanares and Marty Manzanares front the Fire Hawk band. The band has enjoyed 42 years of local popularity and success and was founded in 1983 when Tom parted ways with another very popular band, the Chapparals.

In 1993 Tom’s oldest son Marty joined the band as lead guitarist and vocalist, and the pair haven’t looked back since! The current members are some most sought

Members of the public are invited to show off their classic cars, hot rods and other customized vehicles during the Orchard Days Car Show. The Car Show is open to all vehicles. The models can be older classics, newer customized vehicles or exotic, rare vehicles — anything the owner would like to exhibit for the public.

There will be a drawing for many great prizes! Tickets are $3 for 1 ticket or 4 tickets for $10. All money raised will benefit a local family in need.

The 2026 Orchard Days Grand Parade will be one of the culminating events of this year’s Orchard Days celebration. Join your neighbors and friends that morning in cheering for the floats and other entries in this year’s parade.

The parade will begin at 9 a.m. on the morning of Saturday, Aug. 8, at the intersection of Main Street and 400 East.

The parade will proceed west on Main Street to 100 West, where it will turn south. It will continue along 100 West to 300 South, where it will turn east and end at the Santaquin City Cemetery.

We’re excited to announce the opening of our new Horseshoe Pits as part of this year’s Orchard Days City Celebration! This new amenity can accommodate up to 8 horseshoe games at one time, making it the perfect place to gather with friends and enjoy some friendly competition. The Horseshoe Pits are located at the Harvest View Sports Complex, on the west end of the facility, just west of the pickleball courts. The complex is located at 1400 South Harvest View Drive in Santaquin.

Get ready for the new Santaquin City Library! Located in the west wing of Santaquin City Hall (110 S. Center Street), the new library is scheduled to open before the end of the year. This expanded facility will feature two floors totaling more than 10,000 square feet, including a dedicated Children’s Floor and an Adult/Young Adult Floor. Designed to better serve our growing community, the new space will provide more room for reading, learning, programs and gathering. With more than 40,000 physical checkouts each year and continued growth throughout Santaquin, we are excited to expand alongside our community and offer a larger, more functional library experience for our patrons. Libraries are more than just places to borrow books — they are community gathering spaces that bring people together. They provide opportunities for lifelong learning, early literacy, educational support, technology access, cultural enrichment and meaningful connections among neighbors. From Storytimes and family activities to study spaces and community events, libraries serve as
