Exclusive Interview with Music Artist “Ashley Puckett”
Q: Hi Ashley! How have things been going since the release of your debut album "Never Say Never?" Hi! I’ve been very thankful for all that followed this release. I’ve had many accomplishments and things that have been super exciting. Each time we release a song, there’s something even more that comes out of my career and I can’t wait for the next release!
Q: You've had quite a ride with several singles doing very well on the charts. What has been the most thrilling thing that's happened to you in the past year? Definitely the #1 song with “Bulletproof” on the New music weekly! Close second to the mention in Billboard Magazine. That I never would have expected. And to be featured on my hometown radio stations Y108 and Froggy was kind of surreal looking back.
Q: What do you like to do when you're not making music? I love all kinds of things. Skydiving, bungee jumping, traveling, movies, bowling, having some drinks, sitting by the fire, I love the open water, lakes, oceans and boating.
Q: You live in Pittsburgh, PA. What is your favorite thing about the city? I love the pretty glow of the city at night with the buildings and the lights. Also a lot of culture. There’s so many things to do and it don’t matter what mood you’re in or what you're looking for, you will find it.
Q: If you could perform with anyone in the world, who would that be and why? I think it would be Miranda Lambert. She’s been an idol of mine, I love her music and her voice and I think her and I could get along and be friends.
Q: Are you political at all? Do you get involved in social media debates? I hate politics, however, unfortunately now it’s hard to ignore them. I don’t prefer to argue on social media because there is always going to be disagreements no matter how right or wrong or what side it is and it’s just not worth it - to get upset over. I can’t say I never have made a comment or anything - or that in the future I never will, but I try to he very cautious. The people on the other side try to stir up shenanigans, when you comment against that, it’s usually just a waste of time.
Q: What is one thing about yourself that you would change? Hahahaha. Wow. That’s a great question. I’ve always struggled with my appearance. I miss my 22-year-old body, but who doesn’t. I worry about a lot of things that are out of my control, and I think way too much.
Q: If you had any advice for an up and coming artist, what would that be? Celebrate the little things and the little successes along the way to your bigger goals. They are all important and exciting! Keep good people by your side that encourage you and stand by you. You’ll put in a lot of time and effort and it will all be worth it.
Q: Any plans for a new single? Yes, soon actually.
Q: Will you be releasing a follow up album? Haven’t yet planned on a future album or future singles. But there will be something later.
