en Monzingo and his Publications Committee have been busy upgrading the new District 16 website. The website now features Daily Bulletins from regional tournaments. Also, results of the June District 16 STaC are listed there. If you missed the Dallas/Fort Worth, Fort Western Regional in May, be sure to check out the Austin Firecracker Regional in early July. Ken MacMorran and Evvie Gilbert, members of the Publications Committee, have been diligently helping units without webmasters by gathering information from the units so that the District 16 webmaster was able to create up-to-date websites for them. Make sure to check out the new sites for units 173, 197, 204, 237 and 353. Membership Membership growth is our top priority. Patty Tucker is contributing by developing the Jump Start Bridge program, which includes setting up bridge exhibits and booths at State Gifted Student conferences nationwide. Our own Sally Sassen will host the exhibit in San Antonio in early December. The D16 Board

of Directors has voted to donate $1,000 to this worthy cause. We wish Sally the best of luck and greatly appreciate her efforts. To further assist our units recovering from COVID, the board of directors has voted to extend the policy allowing advertisements for sectional tournaments to be added to Scorecard at no charge. Personnel Changes There have been several personnel changes. • Lauri Laufman, Houston, stepped down as the I/N Newsletter editor. The board would like to thank her for her service. • Carol Jewett, Houston, has taken over the I/N Newsletter position. • Dolores Aquino, Houston, is the coordinator for the Intermediate/Newcomer Lecture Series.
