This week let’s take you on a photographic journey through the Broulee/Mogo/Moruya area, only a 15-minute drive from Batemans Bay. Situated 20 kilometres south of Batemans Bay, Broulee is an Aussie seaside holiday town with a long sweeping beach line that is ideal for a weekend getaway for just yourself, you and your friends, or why not take your whole family. Nine times out of ten we were the only ones on the beach, which was lovely. We stayed in a family friends of a friend’s

holiday house just a block away from the beach. The fishing spots are great and quite popular, the boys took their rods out each morning and late afternoon with them pulling in a 50/50 ratio, twas pretty good I guess. There are also great little diving, snorkelling and surfing areas, and if you are feeling adventurous enough, you should take a walk to the lookouts located in several places around town, they boast outstanding views along the beautiful coast line.
Mogo is only a short drive from Broulee and they have the most unique shopping experiences and the most delicious food options, it was a must-do for us as we spent one of our mornings at Mogo Zoo. Next, jump in the car and drive through to Moruya, it has plenty of charm to share and great country town feel along with some great shops. The coastal drive from Broulee is stunning, with the road running alongside the Moruya River, before opening to reveal a flood plain tracking down from the Deua Mountains.
