OFFERTORY City Called Heaven — Josephine Poelinitz I am a poor pilgrim, a pilgrim of sorrow. I’m left in this old wide world alone! Oh I ain’t got no hope, got no hope for tomorrow. I’m trying to make it, make heaven my home. Sometimes I’m tossed and I’m driven, Lord. Sometimes I just don’t know which way to turn! Oh, I heard of a city called heaven. I’m trying to make it, make heaven my home. DOXOLOGY #95 Praise God, from Whom All Blessings Flow — OLD 100th Praise God, from whom all blessings flow; praise God, all creatures here below; praise God above, ye heavenly host; praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.

GREETING INTROIT

Jesus, Remember Me — TAIZÉ Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.

CALL TO WORSHIP Come into this house of worship and continue the Lenten journey. We come seeking the presence of the One who walks with us, even to the cross. When hope seems distant, Jesus speaks a word of promise Today, you will be with me in paradise. Today, Christ meets us with mercy, grace and abiding love. With thankful hearts, we praise the God who never leaves us nor forsakes us.

INVITATION TO COMMUNION CONFESSION AND PARDON THE GREAT THANKSGIVING THE LORD’S PRAYER Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

HYMN OF PROCESSION #127 Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah — CWM RHONDDA

AFFIRMATION OF FAITH I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord: who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
