WELCOME TO WORSHIP

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE THE LORD’S PRAYER Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

GREETING INTROIT

Hymn of Praise — René Clausen Alleluia. Praise God in His holy temple. Amen, amen, alleluia, amen! (Psalm 150)

CALL TO WORSHIP Let us worship the eternal God, the Source of Love and Life, who creates us. Let us worship Jesus Christ, the Risen One, who lives among us. Let us worship the Spirit, the Holy Fire, who renews us. To the one true God be praise in all times and places through the grace of Jesus Christ!

HYMN OF PROCESSION #154 All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name — CORONATION

AFFIRMATION OF FAITH Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is the one true church, apostolic and universal, whose holy faith let us now declare:

We believe in God the Father, infinite in wisdom, power, and love, whose mercy is over all his works, and whose will is ever directed to his children’s good. We believe in Jesus Christ, Son of God and Son of man, the gift of the Father’s unfailing grace, the ground of our hope, and the promise of our deliverance from sin and death. We believe in the Holy Spirit as the divine presence in our lives, whereby we are kept in perpetual remembrance of the truth of Christ, and find strength and help in time of need. We believe that this faith should manifest itself in the service of love as set forth in the example of our blessed Lord, to the end that the kingdom of God may come upon the earth. Amen. GLORIA PATRI #71 Glory Be to the Father — GREATOREX Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Amen.

SERMON NOTES

OFFERTORY Forevermore — Dan Forrest Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Word of God, the Cornerstone, yesterday, today, forever, seated on His heavenly throne. In this world that God created, broken by the fall of man, God remains the sure foundation, steadfast and unshakeable forevermore. O God our help in ages past, our hope for years to come, our shelter from the stormy blast and our eternal home. God will not forget his promise, ever faithful to remain, never to forsake or leave us, by our side both night and day. Our tomorrows hold no secrets that the Father does not know; we can trust Him, ever working for His glory and our good, forevermore. Under the shadow of Thy throne thy saints have felt secure; sufficient is Thine arm alone, and our defense is sure. Praise the Author of creation, of the world and all it holds; Word Eternal, standing firm, our God is God forevermore. O God our help in ages past, our hope for years to come, be Thou our guard while life shall last, and our eternal home. DOXOLOGY #95 Praise God, from Whom All Blessings Flow — OLD 100th Praise God, from whom all blessings flow; praise God, all creatures here below; praise God above, ye heavenly host; praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.

PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING We thank you, Gracious God, that you answer all who call upon your name. Make us bold to ask for your help and to persist beyond all discouragement. May our faith in you transform our troubled lives into testimonies to your love and power, through the Grace of Jesus Christ. Amen.
