SIXTH BAIMA RONGZHU RINPOCHE The respected sixth Baima Rongzhu Rinpoche, who is the abbot of the Badeng Lazhong Temple and now seventy-six years old, was the master of the first Dege headman. He is a great holy being who was issued a rinpoche certificate by the central government of China. Many rinpoches in the Kham region have received dharma transmissions and initiations from the respected sixth Baima Rongzhu Rinpoche. An especially large number of Indian practitioners of yoga have relied upon and received dharma transmissions and initiations from the rinpoche, who is deeply admired in India.
