Thestatedpurposeofthese“LiberationDay”tariffswasto reducetheUStradedeficitandrevivetheUSmanufacturing sectorwhilealsoraisingrevenuefortheUSTreasury.This actioncausedmuchconsternationaroundtheworldandhas forcedbothdomesticandforeignfirmstomakesignificant adjustments.WhentheSupremeCourtrecentlyruleda substantialportionofthosetariffstobeunconstitutional,the presidentimmediatelyimposednewtariffsunderdifferent authority,causinganadditionalrippleofdisruptionand uncertaintyhereintheUSandintherestoftheworld.Our discussionwillbefocusedonthedegreetowhichthetariffs haveachievedtheirstatedgoalsintheUS,andontheshorttermandlong-termeconomicimpacts,bothdomesticallyand globally.

Hearts&HorsesTherapeuticRidingCenterenhancesphysical, cognitive,andemotionalwellbeingthroughthehealingpower ofthehorse–humanconnection.Since1997,we’veserved childrenandadultswithdisabilities,youth-at-risk,individuals withdementia,andVeterans populationsoftenfacingsocial isolationandbarrierstotraditionaltherapies.Asanationally accredited501(c)(3),werelyoncharitablesupporttoprovide evidenceinformedequineassistedservicesthatbuild independence,confidence,mobility,emotionalregulation,and socialconnection.Programsincludeadaptiveriding, equine‑assistedsocial‑emotionallearning,andspecialized offeringssuchasHearts&HorsesforHeroesandRidinginthe Moment.Eachyear,morethan600participantsworkwithour 33equinepartnersonour23acreranch,supportedbyoneof LarimerCounty’slargestvolunteerprograms.Incollaboration withfamilies,schools,healthcareproviders,andcommunity partners,weensureservicesremainaccessibleand responsive.Ourimpactisseeninparticipantsgainingstrength, studentsimprovingbehavior,Veteransrebuildingpurpose,and familiesfindinghope eachpersonfeelingvalued,capable, andpartofacaringcommunity.
