UPCOMING EVENTS Commencement Commencement will be held for both Bennies and Johnnies on Saturday, May 17th. The CSB commencement ceremony will take place at 11am in the HCC Field House. The SJU commencement ceremony will take place at 3pm in the Saint John’s Abbey Church. Congratulations to the seniors graduating this year! Munich Embedded Study Abroad Program Professor Clinton Warren is leading CSB+SJU students on a Spring 2025 embedded study abroad course to Munich, Germany! The course will focus on sport sponsorship and international sport marketing in Germany. The course will also include an exploration of German (and Bavarian) culture, history, and traditions. Students will leave for Munich the week after commencement!
Professor Spotlight Bob Gazich Bob Gazich is a Visiting Assistant Professor at CSBSJU. He received his PsyD, M.A., and B.A. from the University of St. Thomas. He currently teaches Leadership Theory & Practices and Advanced Global Strategy. Dr. Gazich’s areas of research include the intersection of the Benedictine Values and Leadership, as well as International Business. He also participated in the AIBRP (Association of International Business, Research, and Practice) in Chicago, which helps foster a better understanding of research and education in International Business.
Professor Spotlight Frank Plachecki Frank J. Plachecki, Ph.D. is a local author, speaker, college professor, and trainer in business and industry. Dr. Plachecki currently teaches courses in leadership and management development, performance improvement, human resource management, and other key topics, focusing specifically on supervisory and frontline manager development. Frank is a successful local musician, and often performs live music in his classes, creating a high-energy experience for participants. Following a successful bone marrow transplant, he is now a cancer survivor. Frank speaks with a particular passion about life, faith, family, and career fulfillment.
