PREFACE

This book will change you with any luck, for the better. But since there’s no such thing as a guarantee in life (or forthat matter, the afterlife),read on at your own risk.

Hyperbole? Maybe. Or maybe the next-level alchemical concepts and tools for transmutation through the refiner’s fire of gnosis I share are so face-melting you’ll no longer recognize yourself in the mirror.

Or you’ll somehow manage to recognize yourself, all right, only to wonder why and how … given the utterly mind-bending alternative possibilities presented in these pages.

And in a fortuitous twist, that wonderment just might, in itself, initiate a sea change in your psyche that ends by washing away the old you. Maybe you’ll even acknowledge and integrate the perennial wisdom encapsulated by Rumi: “You are not a drop in the ocean. You are the entire ocean in a drop.”

I’ve often quipped that living would be much easier if people saw themselves as cartoon characters. I’ve said this not because people are silly necessarily (though many excel in this area), but because they’re not nearly as real as they tend to assume they are.

Think of it like this … In the grand dream of things here in this editable construct we call reality, a better you is just a revised animated sketch of yourself away.

Are you willing to create your own character arc by letting the former you be overwritten by a new and improvedone,likealess-thandreamthat merelyfadesaway when a more-than one shows up to replace it?

Alchemically speaking, if you can manage to allow all the lead of your old worldview that’s been weighing you down to be carried away by the tides of your own becoming, the gold of a brave new world of possibilities for living and dying just might come shining through.

My recommendation? Keep reading only if you’re ready and willing to do at least one of the following …

• Consider that the “real world” you take to be immutable is eminently malleable, a dream simulacrum that you can change in not just small but even large ways;

• Get off on the right foot on your Ultimate Hero’s Journey into the Undiscovered Country of becoming far more than you ever thought you could be;

• Stop playing Russian roulette with your emotional state and mental health by walking away from society’s poisonous Shame Game;

• Decultify your existence by ridding yourself of mental parasites and energy vampires while freeing your mind literally from the Matrix’s groupthink;

• Empower yourself with vitality-enhancing strategies for “not-doing” and “not-knowing”;

• Embrace your true identity and vast creative potential as a developing “imagineer” in a “Vale of Soul-making”;

• Master “controlled folly” to imaginatively act in and on the world without getting lost in the funhouse of the alleged real;

• Supercharge your energy by creating your own internal bioenergetic power pack, the legendary Philosopher’s Stone of alchemy; and

• Transform your life, and even afterlife, by projecting your ideal Dreambody and learning how to run down any dream you can imagine.

If just a single one of the above possibilities inspires you, I can assure you you’re good to go inward, outward, and onward!

“I learned this, at least, by my experiment: that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.” —Henry David Thoreau

“You see things; you say, ‘Why?’ But I dream things that never were; and I say ‘Why not?’” George Bernard Shaw

INTRODUCTION:

Runnin’ Down a Dream

A Watershed Moment

Looking back with 20/20 hindsight from my late fiftysomething perspective, one word stands out to best characterize the year 1989: watershed. Truly, 1989 was a turning point not just in my personal life but on the world scene.

Watching my internal movie of that momentous period, I recall in vivid, slo-mo detail a particular still-mild early November day toward the middle of my final year of college.

On that unheralded date in history, my bowtied Romantic poetry professor suddenly appeared five minutes late (he was never late) withan astonished expression behind his smudged spectacles before abruptly, jubilantly canceling class with these electric lines:

“Your assignment until next we meet is to go celebrate. The Berlin Wall has fallen!”

That was in the salad days before smartphones ruined any chanceoflasting world peace.Thisgiddy news had only just flashed but only to those accessing mainstream mouthpieces.

How

My professor had heard the earthshaking news over his crackly office radio. We OG students living in a simpler world where it wasn’t yet possible (or fashionable) to be jacked into the Matrix 24/7 were blissfully unaware and taken completely off guard.

Funnily enough, as much as this historical event seemed to presage the dawn of a new day on our divided planet, the exact opposite seemed to happen.

Over the ensuing years (which, being a music buff, I tended to label “Shoegaze,” “Grunge,” “Hip-hop,” etc.), people tended to get more and more not less and less dualized in sneakier and sneakier ways as the collapse of the Soviet Union had no measurable impact on my own life.

Butanotherevent from1989actuallydid,at theveryleast, memorably shift my perspective on and experience of this slippery “reality” we’re deeply conditioned to take for granted.

I’m talking about the release of American rock star Tom Petty’s iconic song about dreaming big and living large in a world dominated by facts and figures, “Runnin’ Down a Dream.”

Three Master Manifestation Keys

This catchy tune wasn’t Petty’s greatest hit (or even best song, which I’d give to “Don’t Come Around Here No More”), but it certainly made enough waves to be anthologized in the collective memetic database that is pop culture.

Also the name of the 2007 Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers documentary, “Runnin’ Down a Dream” served as the official theme song of two NBA Finals, closed Petty’s Super Bowl XLII Halftime Show, and graced an impressive number of video games, movies, and TV shows.

For mercenary reasons belonging to the shady realm of clever music industry lawyers, you can quote unmonetizable poems ad nauseam, but sharing lucrative song lyrics at length can get you sued for copyright violation.

Long story short: I’m not at liberty to cite the full lyrics of Petty’s inspiring, multidimensional tune that unless you live under a rock and don’t listen to rock, you’ve most definitely heard sometime, somewhere.

But I can and will give you an enlightening overview (complete with choice snippets and an unconventional literary reading) of this second single from Petty’s first solo album, Full Moon Fever.

So if you don’t mind, please be so kind as to humor this former English teacher by visualizing this mental space we’re temporarily sharing as a virtual classroom.

If you stick with me, I’ll wager you’ll agree that the meanings that can be unearthed from Petty’s seemingly simple lyrics become both more intriguing and empowering the deeper you dig into them.

Amazingly, these ostensibly straightforward lyrics intimate what I like to refer to as the three Master Manifestation Keys:

1) The Key to worldly success;

2) The Key to a better life in all ways; and even

3) The Key to reality creation at a logically “impossible” level.

How to Run Down a Dream

So if you weren’t paying attention before, now that class is in session, it might be a good time to start. (Hint, hint.)

Be a Life Artist

In “Runnin’ Down a Dream,” Petty or if you prefer, his narrative persona starts off behind the wheel of an automobile.

We’re not told whether it’s a car, truck or SUV, but we do know the driver is using cruise control as trees spin past and he keeps “flyin’” on a lovely sunny day. In a sense, anticipating the title of another of his hit songs, he’s “learning to fly.”

He’s not alone either; accompanying him is a passenger (of sorts) named Del. This turns out tobe fellow rock star Del Shannon, who dropped the 1961 hit “Little Runaway” (later shortened to just “Runaway”). Petty, we’re given to understand, is crooning his heart out to this oldie but goodie surf-era heartbreak song blasting over the radio.

At the risk of sounding reductionist, we could say that “Runnin’ Down a Dream” is on its surface anyway a road song about running from something less than desirable (the “unstoppable” rain of the past three days) … to something worth … runnin’ down (“somethin’ good waitin’”). The trope may be basic, but it’s highly relatable.

In the chorus, however, ambiguity enters and what lyrics aficionado doesn’t like a little ambiguity?

The singer is chasing a stubborn dream that won’t come to him. Or is he actually the stubborn one and the dream, like some wild creature, is waiting for him to relax enough to let it approach?

And while we’re on the subject, are we talking about an actual dream or merely an intense desire say, for musical success and fame like what Petty’s inspiration Shannon achieved a generation earlier?

In any case the dream is labeled a “mystery,” one the singer is committed to following “wherever it leads.” Maybe this is just a reference to the overall mystery of being alive and facing an uncertain future, but because it’s never defined the listener is free to interpret it.

And that’s the song’s overall empowering message that gave me much food for thought in the decades to come: despite any and all uncertainties, creative freedom is if it’s worthy of the name entirely worth pursuing.

Maybe, just maybe, such freedom is the only thing worth pouring your heart and soul into.

In the final analysis, driving through day into night with good vibes from our (internal) radio thinking about what dreams may come morphs into a metaphor for how to live passionately, as a life artist, in the eternal present of endless possibility.

Three Keys Coded in Three Interpretations of “Dream”

Perfecting the finer points of the art of dreaming can take a lifetime, but I knew how to run practically ever since I could walk.

I was naturally fast and loved to “lay my ears back” whenever I got the chance. After stepping away from organized sports in my last year of high school, I spent the next decade literally running all over the world.

How to Run Down a Dream

While traveling extensively for work, research and play, I made jogging pilgrimages to everywhere from the old Atlantic lighthouse at Ponta de Sagres, Portugal, to William Butler Yeats’ grave outside Sligo, Ireland.

I had a memorable foggy run across the Golden Gate Bridge, circled the medieval ramparts of Syracuse, Sicily, and even traced the looping trajectory of Rio de Janeiro’s famous beaches and sidewalks from Leblon through Ipanema to Copacabana.

Call me Forrest Gump. And believe me, I had a lot of time sweating through my shorts while huffing and puffing away to contemplate the notion of running generally … and runnin’ down a dream specifically.

I was extraordinarily ambitious, you see. From sixth grade on, my heart’s desire was to become a successful writer and I thought about how to actualize this dream of worldly achievement constantly. And now, lo and behold, here you are reading my words, realizing this longstanding dream with me.

At that time (the halcyon period of my youthful ignorance), I took Tom Petty’s metaphor literally, even materialistically.

In my initially limited interpretation of his lyrics, there was only one way to eventually be “flyin’”: stay laser-focused on your biggest dream until it can’t help but come true.

In the words of poet Langston Hughes, I believed that it was of critical importance to …

Hold fast to dreams, For if dreams die Life is a broken-winged bird, That cannot fly.

The first Master Manifestation Key, I won’t deny, is to learn to concentrate intensely on a single, materially realizable dream: something you’re driven to achieve, be, or do. This is what’s taught, it’s what most people start with, and it’s as far as most people ever go.

Only years later, after suffering a debilitating health breakdown that for all its misery eventually led to a total breakthrough in my personal philosophy that became far more metaphysical, did my interpretation of “Runnin’ Down a Dream” spontaneously reconfigure.

Unable to physically run while fighting my autoimmune demons on the excruciating way to developing a powerful sound healing method for dealing with them, in my mind’s eye Petty’s “dream” suddenly flashed as a synonym for “life.”

A deeper meaning of his song, I realized in a burst of insight, was the suggestion that one could “run down” so as to completely alter the dream of one’s own life.

In an epiphany it occurred to me that life really is but a dream, that dreams are actually the stuff we’re made of and that therefore, maybe, if we’re a little lucky and a lot motivated, we can change our life by changing our dream of it.

Had I discovered the second Master Manifestation Key? I believe so. After all, as Nathaniel Hawthorne the American writer many high schoolers know and love (snark alert) from his novel The Scarlet Letter phrased it, “A single dream is more powerful than a thousand realities.”

But wait, there’s more. To use an AI analogy for my own completely organic process, this second Key wasn’t all the large language model of my rapidly developing thought processor came to innerstand with the prompt assist of “Runnin’ Down a Dream.”

How

Whether Petty was aware of this or not, as I finally grasped, “dream” could also mean “reality” itself. “That which you believe [dream] becomes your world,” wrote Richard Matheson with pith, power, and profundity.

Was this the third Master Manifestation Key?

Could a dream literally act as a portal to a new reality or just as amazingly, simply reify as one’s new reality? Was it possible to step out of this version of the world (or at least one’s experience of it) into a completely new one just by dreaming?

Taking this radical train of questioning to even more distant, virtually inconceivable (at the time anyway) destinations …

Was death itself just a change of dream? After all, to ask a question that has been attributed to everyone from Alan Watts to the magnificent reggae poet Bob Marley, “What if life is a dream, and when we die we wake up?”

Might one actually be able to die consciously, and perhaps live forever, just as one can learn to lucid-dream and even “dream while awake”? Was this how shamans, alchemists, seers and holy men and women the world over were reported to achieve immortality?

Become a Conscious Creator in the Eternal Now

The short answer, upon deep reflection, exploration and experimentation, to my flurry of existential questions? An emphatic YES.

We just outlined the basic parameters of the final Master Manifestation Key. This might be conceptualized as the ultimate “mystery” granting the ability of eternal “flyin’” that can be glimpsed through a deeper interpretation of “Runnin’ Down a Dream.”

This book is about more than just learning to become the conscious creator of your own life. Yes, that’s a big deal and I promise if you take in the following chapters with an inquisitive mind and adventurous spirit, you’ll come away with all the tools you need to live your very best life in the here and now.

But just as importantly, maybe even more so, this book is also about how to consciously create your best afterlife.

I don’t mean that dogmatically; I mean it literally, experientially, and practically. Please note that for me this topic has no attachment whatsoever to any formal or informal religion.

Etymologically, religion connotes being bound to something (again) and implies restriction. But as you’ll see, my overarching message is that you have utter liberty to be an absolute freethinker the world’s judges and juries be damned.

“Free thinkers will always seem crazy to those who can’t see beyond conventions,” said Albert Einstein, who wisely added, “Never apologize for evolving beyond people’s comfort zone.”

In the end the afterlife is something that you, and only you, can verify and experience for yourself.

With enough dedicated effort to develop an empowered and focused imagination, my contention is that not only can you fashion an afterlife of your choosing. You can also literallycreateanyworldyoulike whilealive whichmeans that to avoid creating something undesirable, you’d better be aware of what you’re doing and how you’re doing it.

Since from the perspective of inner alchemy, the past and future are fictions and only the present can be said to exist, the living canvas of a true life artist can only be painted in real time.

The only way to begin engaging in conscious creation is to embrace the internal process of becoming in the eternal Now. And the best way I know of to do that is to become a better dreamer in all ways.

Inner action and eternity will be major themes herein, as the strategies for living your best life in this world equally apply to manifesting your best afterlife in the next.

As I repeatedly emphasized in my previous book on complementary subject matter, Get Out of Here Alive, for which this sequel might equally serve as an unofficial prologue, the only way out is in.

To use technological lingo once more, we might specify that there’s something like a backdoor defined by Wikipedia as a “covert method of bypassing normal authenticationor encryption” that allows us to definitively exit this Matrix-like “reality” with our consciousness and individuality intact.

I get that this may sound more like science fiction than science, and in this regard the reference to The Matrix movie probably just muddies the waters.

But please bear with me. As Hamlet famously said to his friend, “There are more things in Heaven and Earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.”

For the genuine freethinker willing to suspend disbelief and grok the radical concept of real immortality by combining intuition with inner exploration, runnin’ down a dream straight out of this construct into infinity gets more and more plausible.

To be perfectly clear, I’m not talking about going to heaven (or hell) or reincarnating, as popular as those subjects might be.

I’m referring to something that’s not actually popular at all; it couldn’t be because though it appears hardwired into human potential, hardly anyone’s even aware of this possibility which I suggest is by design.

For lack of established or better terminology, let’s call this revolutionary possibility of worldly transcendence the Ultimate Hero’s Journey.

The Hero’s Journey vs. the Ultimate Hero’s Journey

A prominent motif in Get Out of Here Alive, the Hero’s Journey was made famous by one of the most influential thinkers from last century and a personal hero of mine: mythologist Joseph Campbell.

In his voluminous and highly inspiring writings on this archetypal human journey, he tended to envision it as a circular one of self-discovery. In this scenario a flawed or simply normal person becomes the protagonist of his or her own mythic adventure tale involving various stages, helpers, obstacles, and challenges.

As Campbell depicted it, the classic Hero’s Journey ends with the new and improved hero returning to his or her starting point bearing treasures or other gifts to enrich the larger community. As such the Hero’s Journey while ostensibly about individuals ends up being a kind of collectivist tale about the human species.

The Ultimate Hero’s Journey, on the other hand, is a one-way solo ticket out of here, an alchemical transformation of the highest order permitting individuals to “learn to fly” above and beyond the Matrix itself.

While such a feat can be undertaken in pairs or even groups, as in the lighting of the Fire from Within allegedly (according to Carlos Castaneda) achieved by the shaman Don Juan Matus and his Sorcerers’ Party, more often it appears to be a solitary pursuit usually the province of lone alchemists and hermetic men and women.

What typicallygetspasseddowntothoseofusleft behind after intrepid psychonauts have flown this earthly chicken coop is like an alchemical residue of confusing and often contradictory dogma, theories, techniques, and terminology.

We hear about Tibetan monks creating the “Rainbow Body” through lengthy “meditation on love” (whatever that is), and other monks in the Dzogchen tradition transcending death by turning into “great clear light” by way of Dream Yoga (whatever that is), while Taoist sages mysteriously aspire to the “jade body” (whatever that is), to cite only a few mystery-riddled examples among dozens if not hundreds.

But in a world where, as the poets of rock ‘n’ roll aptly sang, “there’s too much confusion,” there’s also actually a good bit of mental clarity to be had thanks to one simple realization.

By seeing all these mystical phenomena not as unrelated examples of hokum or hocus-pocus, but as merely culturally and historically nuanced methods of similar ways of activating a universal inner human “technology” of transmutation, our sight begins to clear as the smoke of myth and legend dissipates.

At some point we might even reach a titillating, breathtaking conclusion …

Based on all the threads of evidence, a tiny minority of people everywhere have been getting out of here alive by hook or crook, one way or another for as long as our species has stumbled around this bewildering dreamlike construct.

Getting Out of Here Alive: Selfish or Selfless?

In contrast to its more mundane iteration, the Ultimate Hero’s Journey offers little in the way of direct help or rewards to the larger community, centered as this path is on individual metamorphosis.

That said, there are considerable secondary aspects fringe benefits, as it were to this alternative approach to living and dying that can tremendously enhance the world at large. I’ll touch on some of the more fascinating of these in the following pages.

But let’s not sugarcoat a touchy topic that tends to rankle today’s passionate reformers, fanatical activists, would-be world savers, and shame-wielding social justice warriors.

The potential benefits of the Ultimate Hero’s Journey to the individual freedom seeker immortality and the opportunity to explore eternity are simply incalculable in their personal-reality-redefining scope.

To one like myself devoted to the winding path of inner alchemy, the Ultimate Hero’s Journey makes the mundane version of sticking it out here for the sake of serving a benighted human species apparently committed to its own enslavement seem like a poor (and certainly, thankless) use of one’s precious time, energy, and attention.

How

But as with so many things in our spiritual journey in this human form that, like the alchemical ouroboros biting its tail, have a way of circling back around, even the alchemist’s apparent selfishness and lust for (a different kind of) life have a selfless side.

As John Kreiter breaks it down in The Way of the Death Defier,

An inner alchemist is a rebel to the core … [Such people] are individualities that have from the time of their inception been at odds with the state of things. Inner alchemists do not seek the ONE; they do not seek quick and painless union with the oversoul [through a common death]. They seek glorious adventure, they seek their own becoming, not by joining the ONENESS of source but through high adventure in worlds beyond conception as individualities that are free from the training wheels of source. They seek therefore to become a multidimensional oneness themselves!

Statedotherwise, inner alchemists recognize and embrace their own potential vast beyond words or the ability of reason alone to comprehend to embody the Alpha and Omega. In so doing, such explorers literally seek to create new worlds filled with novel potentials giving rise to unprecedented experiences.

Dreamers of the dream of ultimate freedom also grasp that this innate potential to achieve their own version of oneness and initiate a fractal spinoff of the current reality show can only be realized by breaking the Matrix’s “common sense” rules via runnin’ down a new dream and getting the heck out of here alive.

In words penned by Roy T. Bennett that could benefit any budding inner alchemist, “Be brave enough to live the life of your dreams according to your vision and purpose instead of the expectations and opinions of others.”

Out through the In Door

You could say that undertaking the Ultimate Hero’s Journey, regardless of whether we succeed in the end, is an act of defiance against the status quo of a mediocre, circumscribed and pre-scripted life … and death.

“The true horror of existence,” in the ringing words of French absurdist philosopher Albert Camus,

is not the fear of death, but the fear of life. It is the fear of waking up each day to face the same struggles, the same disappointments, the same pain. It is the fear that nothing will ever change, that you are trapped in a cycle of suffering that you cannot escape. And in that fear, there is a desperation, a longing for something, anything, to break the monotony, to bring meaning to the endless repetition of days.

Though far from an absurdist thinker himself, even Joseph Campbell was forced to admit that life “has no meaning. Each of us has meaning and we bring it to life. It is a waste to be asking the question when you are the answer.”

Nothing and I mean nothing I’ve found in all my many years as a spiritual “dream runner” can rival inner alchemy and the active pursuit of getting out of here alive in terms of “bring[ing] [your own] meaning to the endless repetition of days.”

How to Run Down a Dream

That said, I freely acknowledge that some, perhaps many readers will have difficulty accepting even the remote possibility of human immortality. Big words require big proof, and most people are simply unwilling to unplug from the Matrix long enough to prove this possibility of possibilities to themselves.

But as celebrated novelist Cormac McCarthy put it as if seeing this realm through the eyes of a genuine inner explorer, “The truth about the world is that anything is possible.”

Or to quote Charles Bukowski, a veritable literary antihero who displayed a powerful thirst for freedom with a fine sense of humor to boot, “We are here to laugh at the odds and live our lives so well that Death will tremble to take us.”

Be advised that you simply can’t get out of here alive if you keep going back into the Matrix over and over with practically every thought and deed even if you imagine you’re doing so rebelliously by going In Through the Out Door, as the rock band Led Zeppelin cleverly phrased it in the title to their final studio album from 1979.

As I put it in lyrics of my own,

I think I’ve got the gist

You think you gotta resist

But I gotta insist

There’s somethin’ you might have missed

What if resistance is only a word

For havin’ no inner plan

What if you’re not a free bird

But just workin’ for the Man

What you resist you make stronger

They didn’t teach that in school

Resistance makes the long game longer And turns a fool into a tool

If I’m right and the only way out truly is in, your only option for transcendence is to turn any and all externalizing ways of thinking about the nature of (personal) power on their head, perform an about-face by runnin’ down a dream bravely inward, and head out through the in door. I get that this path isn’t for everybody. Maybe it isn’t for you. That’s okay.

Even if giving the slip to the Grim Reaper isn’t your calling, know that much of the material I lay out in this book can radically improve your quality of life in all areas, right here and now.

If inner alchemy does call to you, however, may this text and the empowering concepts and methods I detail in the upcoming chapters inspire you to take your first steps on or make further strides if you’re already on the path of your own Ultimate Hero’s Journey.

You know that excitement you get when a paranormal romance suddenly turns … supernatural? Edgy, sexy and absolutely visionary, this one-of-a-kind love story will open eyes. The Goddess is afoot and things are about to get medieval in the Fatherland.

Patriarchal banking families with reptilian overlords, racial and sexual divisions, mass surveillance, social decadence … Welcome to the future, after the 2nd American Revolution didn’t go well.

What would happen if everyone suddenly woke up together and realized they were in an invisible prison run by psychopaths? In this amazingly uplifting dystopian thriller for young or old adults, experience the righting of the world in a future gone wrong.

Best friends? Check. Illegal lovers? Check. Mythological entities? Check.

Cali and Juice aren’t discovering love; they’re discovering they’ve always been in love since the dawn of creation.

In this page-turner of a sci-fi tale set in an Orwellian future seeded in the dystopian present, resistance to the Archons appears futile … that is, until the Goddess and her consort spectacularly reappear straight out of ancient Gnosticism to take on the control matrix of the Fatherland.

Will the Luminous Child awaken in humanity before it’s too late?

“A thought-provoking and absorbing dystopian tale with a New Age touch [that] balances the exploration of human relationships with environmental, social, and political issues ... Cali the Destroyer is an illuminating and deep read, and the result is a must-read tale in tune with contemporary concerns that it dresses up as an Orwellian future.” Readers’ Favorite

“While [Cali the Destroyer] has plenty of laugh-out-loud scenes, it is also a cautionary tale. The Orwellian future Cali and Juice are familiar with may also be what ours looks like in several years. Cali the Destroyer shows readers what can happen when evil is allowed to thrive.” Entrada Publishing

“Like some raconteur alchemist, Luckman comingles ancient mysticism, engaging characters, and social issues to sublimate the alchemical gold that is unique but timeless storytelling. As a dystopia, the work feels like it’s happening right now. As a work of fiction, it feels like the perennial trope of man versus God except it’s hard to tell who the villain or hero is. A simultaneously disturbing and amazing read, you’ll probably end up finding your own Philosopher’s Stone.” Miguel Conner, Host of Aeon Byte Gnostic Radio

Could it be there’s no such thing as the paranormal ... only infinite varieties of normal we’ve yet to understand?

From acclaimed author Sol Luckman comes Snooze, the riveting tale of one extraordinary boy’s awakening to the world-changing reality of his dreams, winner of the 2015 National Indie Excellence Award for New Age Fiction and 2016 Readers’ Favorite International Book Award Finalist in the Young Adult-Coming of Age category.

Join Max Diver, aka “Snooze,” along the razor’s edge of a quest to rescue his astronaut father from a fate stranger than death in the exotic, perilous Otherworld of sleep.

An insightful look at a plethora of paranormal subjects, from Sasquatch and lucid dreaming to time travel via the Bermuda Triangle, Snooze also shines as a work of literature featuring indelible characters, intense drama and breathless pacing to stir you wide awake!

“Luckman’s dazzling abilities as a novelist abound with lyrical prose … If you enjoy colorful characters, a fast-paced plot and stories that tug at your heart, this novel in eighty-four chapters is anything but a yawn.” Readers’ Favorite

“A multi-dimensional, many-faceted gem of a read. From mysteries to metaphysics, entering the dream world, bigfoot, high magic and daring feats of courage, this book has it all.” Lance White, Author of Tales of a Zany Mystic

“A book for readers ready to awaken from our mass cultural illusion before we selfdestruct. Snooze calls out for readers open to the challenging adventure of opening their minds.” Merry Hall, Co-Host of Envision This
