LOOKBOOK

A LETTER FROM THE CREATIVE DIRECTOR

This lookbook is a love letter to the textures, tones, and layers that define fall and winter entertaining. Within these pages, you’ll find curated palettes that celebrate warmth and depth—where moody florals, tactile fabrics, sculptural forms, and heritage patterns create rich, inviting vignettes.

We’ve leaned into the comfort and drama of the season: velvet and plaid meet refined wood tones, candlelight dances off metallic accents, and every element, from tabletop to lounge, has been selected with thoughtful intention. These are spaces meant to be lived in, gathered around, and remembered.

From romantic indoor affairs to cozy urban rooftops, this collection embraces a sense of place and purpose, showcasing our latest rental offerings styled through a distinctly autumnal and wintery lens.

May it spark your imagination, encourage creative layering, and invite you to tell your own seasonal story—one unforgettable detail at a time.

How do you stay inspired and keep your floral designs fresh and innovative while maintaining your signature style?

We really are inspired by the individual flowers themselves and letting them shine is always the goal. We also stay on top of the trends and love putting our own spin on different designs we’ve seen by changing up color palettes or using different, unexpected flowers or materials!

What is your process for capturing the perfect shot in a styled shoot like this?

For me, it starts with understanding the intention behind the design. I spend time studying the light, the palette, and the textures—then I frame the shot to highlight what makes the space feel elevated and alive. It’s all about translating the creative vision into something timeless and editorial.

What’s the most challenging part of designing floral arrangements for a styled shoot versus a live event?

For me, the most challenging part of designing floral arrangements for a styled shoot versus a live event is finding the balance of being true to our style and then also having the endless ability to play. With weddings, we are working with a vision that the client or planner gives us, and then we get to add our artistic flare. But in an editorial environment, we usually get a color palette and maybe some key words and then we get to run with it from there. This is usually a designers dream, but it can also lead to overthinking things, trying to be too trendy to garner more attention, or wanting to show the team of creatives something we haven’t done yet but have been wanting to try. None of these things are inherently bad, but they can definitely cause stress, lead to overbuying of product, or even overstyling our sets!

Event Aesthetics - Florist

How do you ensure your designs align with the vision of the event or brand?

Ensuring my floral designs align with the vision of the event or brand always starts with communication. I begin by having an in-depth consultation with the client to understand the event atmosphere, brand identity, and desired aesthetic. We discuss color palette, themes, and key messaging. I also ask for a few inspiration photos to help solidify the desired look—whether they want something romantic and soft, bold and modern, or clean and minimal.

From there, I create a design proposal that includes floral selections, textures, and sample arrangements that are tailored to reflect the vision. I often include digital mock-ups of the floral arrangements to share with the client as well. I pay close attention to brand guidelines including logos, colors, and overall vibe, so the florals feel like a natural extension of the brand rather than just decor.

During the design process, I stay in close contact with the planning team and adjust as needed to maintain cohesion with other design elements like lighting, linens, and signage. Ultimately, it’s about translating a vision into floral artistry that feels authentic and enhances the entire event experience.

What was your favorite part or moment to capture during the shoot?

My favorite part to capture was the genuine collaboration behind the scenes. There was so much heart, intention, and collaboration poured into every detail. Each creative truly valued each other’s talents making sure every voice and vision was honored. It was a shoot where you walk away feeling creatively inspired.

What’s the one styling tip you wish everyone knew that could help them with their own styled shoots?

The styling tip I have is to listen to your client and listen to your photographer and from there you can create and capture a photo that embraces an environment that is not only creative and builds a team, but also where your client will be represented through and through around their marketing goals! However.... a good team listens and lets your individuality grow also.

How do you manage the logistics of sourcing flowers and ensuring they stay fresh and on theme for a shoot or event?

We typically source flowers locally whenever possible, from May through October. For other times of the year, we work with trusted suppliers to import the remaining flowers. We receive our flowers two to three days before an event to ensure they hydrate properly, keeping them in water and as cool as possible.

For this particular shoot, we sourced all the dahlias directly from our own farm, which is always beneficial for ensuring freshness and longevity!

What role do you think color plays in setting the mood for an event, and how did you approach it in this shoot?

Color is key to the human experience - it can evoke feelings, influence decision making, and shape our overall experiences. Certain colors influence emotions, how we perceive and remember things, and influences how we interact with our environment. So color is very important to me. My challenge for this shoot was to create a mood that supported as well as highlighted the entire story we were telling with this table top design. Rich earthy browns, Terra Cotta reds, dusty creme and darker moments for contrast all added to create a natural palette reminiscent of the desert at sunset.

What trends are you most excited to see in the event industry this fall/winter?

This fall and winter, I’m especially excited to see floral installations grow in popularity. We’re excited to see people leaning into florals that feel creative, immersive, and expressive. Making flowers works of art rather than just decor.

What does collaboration mean to you when it comes to styled shoots?

Collaboration is the heart of every styled shoot we do internally. For us, it’s less about showing off and more about showing up. Bringing new ideas and inspiration from the industry while also creating space for others personality, style, and expertise. We love being part of a dynamic team and tell each vendor they have their own layer of creative freedom when it comes to their piece of the puzzle. That shared energy is what makes the final result feel authentic and effortless.

The Distillery Complex - Venue

What makes your space versatile for different event themes and designs?

What makes our space, The Distillery Complex, so versatile for different event themes and designs is its thoughtful blend of preserved historic architecture and newly constructed modern design - bringing the charm of the past and the style of the present together in one seamless setting. The Reserve, our dedicated event venue, features two distinct yet connected spaces - Mckean, with exposed brick and industrial warmth, and Riverside, with floor-to-ceiling windows, sleek finishes, and skyline views. This mix creates a flexible backdrop that complements a wide range of aesthetics, from rustic and vintage to minimalist and contemporary. The neutral palette and architectural contrast allow event planners to fully customize the look and feel of their event without being locked into a specific style. Whether you’re designing a formal black-tie gala, a whimsical wedding, or a creative brand launch, the space adapts beautifully. The layout also allows for easy scaling - use one room for a more intimate experience or combine both for larger gatherings up to 300 guests. Natural light pours in during the day, while city lights add atmosphere in the eveningmaking the space feel dynamic and layered at any time.
