Summer Garden
Crossroads staff and residents gather every year to plant and cultivate a bountiful vegetable garden. This beautiful garden provides nutritious fresh vegetables from farm to table enhancing our residents’ homestyle meals. It also provides an opportunity to spend time in the fresh air and sunshine and digging our hands into the soil. In the past we have shared a bountiful harvest with the food bank located around the corner from the community. We cannot think of a more rewarding activity that not only enhances our residents’ healthy lifestyles in many ways, but also helps those who need such earthly blessings.
A retired man now volunteers to entertain patients in hospitals. He visited one hospital in Brooklyn and brought along his portable keyboard.

A team of volunteers worked several days in July to help bring Maranatha’s Kajiado School project nearer to its completion. Crossroads own Cory Strauch, with his friend Mandy Rolfe, joined the team of 36 plus volunteers to lay block, paint, and add their helping hands to whatever needed doing. Cory says he and Mandy learned to be thankful and learned that helping others filled their hearts with joy. They were very impressed with the sacrifice that so many have made, to make Maranatha a company that really helps people where they are.
