An investigation by the Tennessee Comptroller’s Office, working in conjunction with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, has ultimately resulted in Tracy Boyd Jr.’s guilty plea on one count of theft over $2,500. Boyd worked as a probation officer for Tennessee Correctional Services West, Inc. (TCSW), which provides misdemeanor probation supervision and intervention services to various courts throughout West Tennessee. TCSW collects fees from probationers for the services it provides.

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — A first-grade Virginia teacher who was shot and seriously wounded by her 6-year-old student has filed a lawsuit seeking $40 million in damages from Newport News school officials.
