LOOKING AHEAD With several partner organizations, we are planting more than 30,000 bald cypress trees and other vegetation as part of the Central Wetlands Reforestation Collective. We’ll also build our sixth oyster reef, host marsh grass and dune grass volunteer plantings, workshops and more across south Louisiana, and we’ll continue to support our state’s work to restore and protect our coast.

We also supported the state’s Coastal Master Plan, which was approved unanimously by the state Legislature.
SPECIAL EVENTS 1,271 people were in attendance at the State of the Coast conference, the premier gathering on coastal restoration in Louisiana. CRCL also honored 15 coastal stewards at our 26th annual Coastal Stewardship Awards, and we hosted three exciting conversations through our CRCLecture series.
With our support, our state Legislature passed a bill to create an oyster shell recycling tax credit for restaurants.
