A north Florida public CPA firm recently announced the appointment of its first non-founding partner. , with offices in Jacksonville and Ponte Vedra, Fla., named Timothy P. Raines as a partner of the firm. Raines joined the firm in 2012 as tax manager and holds more than 20 years’ experience as a CPA. The firm was started by Mark Patrick as in 1982 and became in 2002, when Adam Robinson joined Patrick as partner. “Tim brings a unique blend of knowledge in the tax code, along with high-tech applications and experience in estates, trusts and guardianships,” Patrick said. “We’re proud to name him to our leadership team as we continue growing on the First Coast.” Patrick said Raines will help steer the company’s tax services, especially for client businesses with multiple locations throughout the country. He will also manage the firm’s use of technology. “I’m humbled by the trust Mark and Adam placed in me,” Raines commented. “The whole Patrick & Robinson team is [composed] of true professionals and now helping to lead them is a real honor. I look forward to helping us exceed client expectations with practical, innovative accounting services and advice.” The firm has started the process of updating its brand and logo to reflect Raines’ position after tax season.
