Interesting news on the world of fashion, beauty and art promising to add a special touch that will make all the difference in your everyday life!

COSTUME
The new major exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London brings the legendary creator Elsa Schiaparelli back into the spotlight, highlighting the way she forever transformed the relationship between fashion and art.
The exhibition “Schiaparelli: Fashion Becomes Art” explores her groundbreaking vision, showcasing iconic designs that challenged the aesthetic norms of their time. Through her collaborations with leading Surrealist artists such as Salvador Dalí and Jean Cocteau, Elsa Schiaparelli turned garments into artistic statements—rich in symbolism, humor, and subversion.
The exhibition also connects her work with contemporary creations by creative director Daniel Roseberry, proving that the house’s bold aesthetic remains more relevant than ever.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art presents one of the most compelling fashion exhibitions of the year, titled “Costume Art.”
Organized by the renowned Costume Institute, the exhibition explores the relationship between fashion and art, highlighting the dressed body as a timeless medium of expression, identity, and creativity.
Through unique pairings of garments and artworks from the museum’s collection, the exhibition reveals how clothing connects with aesthetics, politics, symbolism, and personal storytelling across the centuries. From prehistory to the contemporary era, visitors will discover thematic sections that shed light on different interpretations of the body and its adornment.

2026 seems to belong entirely to Anne Hathaway. Her return to the world of The Devil Wears Prada 2 has sparked excitement, placing her once again at the center of pop culture, while her recent recognition by People Magazine as the most beautiful woman in the world confirms her timeless allure.
Beyond her cinematic success, Anne Hathaway continues to stand out for her impeccable style. With appearances that balance modern elegance and old Hollywood glamour, she effortlessly turns every red carpet moment into a fashion statement. From sharply tailored suits to ethereal haute couture creations, she proves she remains one of the best-dressed and most influential figures in global fashion.
A visionary, multifaceted creator and one of the most influential figures of the 20th century, Gio Ponti returns to the spotlight through the new collectible and compact reissue of the iconic volume by Taschen.
This luxurious, self-titled book offers a fascinating journey into the creative world of the Italian architect who left a lasting mark on architecture, industrial design, and modern aesthetics. Through more than 60 iconic works, unpublished archival material, and rare imagery, the edition reveals Gio Ponti’s unique perspective—one that approached every creation, from a simple spoon to an entire building, as a work of art.
A book that stands as a tribute to Italian elegance and the timeless power of design.

Forget the “It Girl.” In 2026, it’s all about the “Lit Girl,” the new aesthetic trend that places books at the center of fashion. From mini book charms by Coach to the iconic book-shaped bags by Jonathan Anderson for Dior, literature is becoming the year’s most unexpected fashion statement.
This emerging trend reflects a broader cultural shift. In an era of overconsumption, scroll fatigue, and artificial intelligence, reading is turning into a symbol of personal taste, culture, and authenticity. More than just a trend, the “Lit Girl” feels like a return to something meaningful: the need for slower living, genuine connection, and stories that cannot be contained within a caption.
The new fashion accessory? A great book.
Bottega Veneta,
Jacobs
Bottega Veneta codes.
Beyond being a talented actor, Jacob Elordi has firmly established himself as one of the most influential style references of his generation, crafting an image that balances effortless masculinity with perfectly curated luxury.
With his new role as ambassador for the Bleu de Chanel, he further strengthens his connection to the world of refined aesthetics, while remaining closely linked to Bottega Veneta—a brand that feels almost like a “second language” to his personal style. In fact, in the third season of Euphoria, the wardrobe of Nate Jacobs (the character he portrays) clearly reflects Bottega Veneta codes.
The charismatic actor moves effortlessly between fashion and acting, as if they belong to the same creative universe.

With just one scroll on Instagram, you’ve likely come across the stunning dresses by Saint Laurent that closed the Spring/Summer 2026 runway, designed by Anthony Vaccarello.
Striking and full of drama, they draw their intensity from the couture language of the unforgettable Yves Saint Laurent and the bold evening looks of the ’80s. Volume returns to the spotlight, alongside sculptural silhouettes, vibrant colors, and a sense of theatricality that feels almost cinematic.
This new interpretation, however, is lighter—featuring airy fabrics and fluid lines that add movement and a contemporary edge. The result is dresses that move naturally with the body and transform with the light, already capturing the attention of global fashion icons such as Zoë Kravitz, Beyoncé, and Hailey Bieber.

Matthieu Blazy seems to have found his own, distinctly modern rhythm at Chanel. On the occasion of his first cruise collection, presented in the iconic Biarritz—where Gabrielle Chanel founded her legendary house—the designer confirmed that the brand’s new era is not built solely on nostalgia, but on a meaningful reinterpretation of its heritage.
The collection moved effortlessly between relaxed tailoring, lightweight fabrics, and a breezy seaside spirit, translating Chanel’s timeless elegance into a more effortless, almost spontaneous summer narrative. At the same time, references to the past—from archival motifs to the philosophy of freedom championed by Coco—were integrated in a fresh and entirely unpredictable way.
Many already describe Blazy as a worthy successor to Karl Lagerfeld. What is certain is that Chanel appears to be experiencing one of its strongest and most creatively mature phases. Ο Matthieu Blazy

On Dionysiou Areopagitou Street, a new landmark is transforming the way we “read” the city: the sculpture of Constantine Cavafy, created by Praxiteles Tzanoulinos and installed by the Onassis Foundation in collaboration with the Municipality of Athens.
This is not just another monument, but an invitation to dialogue. The poet is depicted seated at life size, “conversing” with passersby, seamlessly integrated into the urban fabric of Athens, just steps away from the Onassis Library and Plaka.
The work is more than a statue to be observed from a distance. It is part of a broader effort to bring art into the everyday life of the city—to encounter it in the street, sit beside it, and experience it, rather than simply view it.

This is definitely her year! In 2026, we see Anne Hathaway transition from arthouse and festival-prestige cinema to epic blockbusters, psychological thrillers, sci-fi mysteries, and a sequel with a massive cultural footprint.
years»
Anne Hathaway.
However, this isn’t called the "Year of Anne Hathaway" by accident. It’s not just about the number of films she has lined up, but her almost total transformation: from pop icon and mythical Penelope to enigmatic femme fatale and Andy Sachs once again. It’s as if she is constantly shifting personas, revealing the sheer breadth of her acting range.
In 2026, Anne Jacqueline Hathaway is doing more than just taking a creative leap; she is undergoing a career renaissance. Simultaneously, she’s experiencing an image evolution so remarkable that People magazine named her the "Most Beautiful Woman in the World" for 2026.
It is that rare moment where an actress doesn’t just dominate different projects but seems to set the very tempo of the year. Hollywood has seen "domination years" for only a select few. By all accounts, 2026 belongs to Anne Hathaway.
Born in Brooklyn, Anne Hathaway grew up in a family where her father was a lawyer and her mother an actress—who became her first inspiration to pursue acting. Trained as a stage performer, she has often stated that
she prefers theater to film. As a soprano, she performed with her school’s Honors Chorus at Carnegie Hall, and just days later, at the age of 16, she attended a casting for the short-lived Fox television series Get Real.
Her first significant television role came in 1999 with Get Real, followed by her film debut in 2001 as Mia Thermopolis in The Princess Diaries. She quickly gained international recognition, with major milestones including The Devil Wears Prada and Becoming Jane.
In 2008, she received widespread acclaim for her leading role in Rachel Getting Married, earning major accolades and an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress. The year 2012 proved pivotal for her career, with two highly discussed roles: the musical Les Misérables and the superhero blockbuster The Dark Knight Rises.
This was followed by the science fiction epic Interstellar, marking another collaboration with Christopher Nolan, and the commercial success The Intern (2015), where she starred alongside Robert De Niro.
Her career is currently experiencing a new peak, with her return in The Devil Wears Prada 2 and her role in the thriller Mother Mary. She is also set to portray Penelope in The Odyssey, directed by Christopher Nolan.
Anne Hathaway’s personal life is marked by stability and discretion, making her one of Hollywood’s most grounded role models. She married actor and jewelry designer Adam Shulman in 2012, and the couple has two sons, Jonathan (2016) and Jack (2019).
She also serves as a Goodwill Ambassador for UN Women, focusing particularly on promoting paternity leave and gender equality in the workplace.

Contemporary fashion trends strike a balance between structure and fluidity, where elegance emerges through the combination of structured lines and layered looks. Within this coexistence, fashion becomes more versatile and expressive, allowing comfort and sophistication to exist dynamically in every season. ΑΡΘΡΟ

Tailoring once again proves that timeless elegance never goes out of style. By redefining the classic suit through modern, structured lines and strong shoulders—such as oversized blazers and perfectly tailored trousers—this aesthetic moves between power dressing and enduring sophistication. Fashion houses like Saint Laurent and Chanel presented looks that go beyond officewear and integrate seamlessly into contemporary everyday life.
Layering demonstrates that modern looks are “built” through complexity and the balance of textures. From fine knits under structured coats to sheer fabrics that break visual monotony, layering adds depth and character. Through intellectual styling and unexpected combinations, brands like Loewe and Prada have redefined layering, transforming it from a practical necessity into a true fashion statement.

Bold colors are the most immediate way to turn a simple outfit into a fashion statement, adding intensity and personality through clean, vibrant tones. From electric blue and bright red to saturated greens and pinks, color excess becomes a tool of expression that breaks the monotony of neutral palettes. Through color blocking and unexpected pairings, outfits are created that simply cannot go unnoticed.

Elevated sporty style redefines athletic aesthetics, shifting them from purely casual contexts into more refined, fashion-forward expressions. Track pants are paired with tailored blazers, technical fabrics gain luxurious finishes, and sporty jackets adopt a structured, almost couture-like approach. The result is looks that balance comfort and elegance without losing their dynamic edge.
Utility emerges as a new form of modern elegance, where functionality becomes an aesthetic statement. Pockets take center stage, technical fabrics and modular lines create looks that balance practicality with refinement. From relaxed cargo silhouettes to deconstructed tailoring pieces, the concept of “functionality” is reimagined through a more sophisticated lens. Whether in summer or winter, cargo evolves beyond its workwear roots into a complete style statement that combines comfort with effortless strength.

NEVER STOP DREAMING
Vasia Golfinopoulou became widely known to the public through her role as “Sandra,” but her path was never limited to television alone. From a very young age, she learned to balance filming, competitive rhythmic gymnastics, and currently her studies in Law, building a daily life filled with demands, discipline, and persistence. In the following interview, she talks about her childhood on set, the challenges that shaped her, and the importance of continuing to pursue what you love without fearing effort or failure.

← Shirt, PINK WOMAN Necklace, ΙORDANIS JEWELRY
How did your participation in “To Soi Sou” come about, and how did you experience your first contact with filming at such a young age? Do you remember any intense or funny moment from that time?
My participation in “To Soi Sou” happened suddenly. I was in a children’s casting agency at the time, and when the offer came, I was in 5th grade. I was called in for a casting, given a first scene to perform, and a few months later I found myself in front of the camera.
I started on the series when I was in 6th grade, a show I was also a big fan of, so I saw it more as a hobby that became part of my daily life rather than a job. I had a really great time. It was a very beautiful experience, aside from the stress that naturally exists when you are a child on a professional set. What I remember most vividly is laughter. There were many moments when we couldn’t finish a scene because we kept laughing. Especially with Meletis Ilias, who often made me laugh with his character’s funny scenes, there were many such incidents.
It’s not an easy combination: school, competitive rhythmic gymnastics, and television. How did you manage to balance everything? Were there moments when you felt pressure?
The truth is, it was quite demanding. There were periods when I felt pressure because I had to combine school, training, and filming. However, this helped me greatly learn how to organize my time and function with discipline.
Rhythmic gymnastics, especially at a competitive level, requires many hours of training, patience, and consistency. Combined with school and television, I didn’t always have time to rest like other children my age. Still, I loved what I was doing. Over time it became a habit, a way of life. These experiences definitely matured me and made me stronger.
How did your relationship with rhythmic gymnastics begin, and what did it give you as a person and as an athlete? Was there a moment that shaped you more than others?
I started rhythmic gymnastics when I was five years old. My older sister was already doing it, and watching her made me really like it. I was good at it, so when the first distinctions came, it stopped being just a hobby.
Rhythmic gymnastics taught me what discipline, persistence, and daily effort mean. Competitive sports definitely give you many tools - you learn not to give up, even when things don’t go the way you want.
A difficult period for me was in 8th grade, when I had to compete in the National Championship. I was under a lot of emotional pressure and didn’t perform well in the competition. Still, I didn’t give up. I think that was one of the important lessons I learned: that effort matters, even when the result is not what you want.
As you grew up within the series and in real life at the same time, how did you experience the change in your role on the show and your own personal development? Did the two paths resemble each other or differ greatly?
I was growing up almost simultaneously in both: in the series and in real life. Of course, in the show I was playing a character slightly younger than my actual age, so there was always a small distance between what I was living and what I was acting.
As I grew older, I perceived my role differently. The way I saw my participation in the series changed, as did the way I understood myself within that environment.
There were certainly similarities, mainly due to the closeness in age. On the other hand, there is always a difference between reality and fiction. Those years, however, helped me mature a lot.

After such a unique experience from a young age, what do you feel are your next steps or the dreams you want to pursue today?
I try to evolve in different fields and I believe it is important to engage in things I truly love. Television and sports remain part of my life, while I am also studying Law and plan to complete my studies.
Law came somewhat unexpectedly. I didn’t say from childhood that I wanted to become a lawyer. My goal was to do well in the national exams and then evaluate my options. Law was my first choice, and I can say it doesn’t leave me indifferent as a field. I could see myself practicing law, although I am not yet 100% sure what I will ultimately pursue.
If you could give advice to a child trying to combine school, sports, and perhaps an artistic activity, what would you tell them based on your experience?
I would tell them to keep developing themselves and not be afraid to try. Patience, discipline, and effort are important, but it is equally important not to push yourself too hard and always remember why you started.
You should not lose the joy and love for what you do. There is no need to be discouraged if you are not always perfect. Everything is part of the journey.
I believe it is important to have inner motivation, to try new things, and not to place obstacles in front of ourselves. Whatever is meant to happen will happen, as long as we don’t stop dreaming.
Of course, not everyone is built for the same pressure. That’s why balance is needed- try, explore, don’t give up easily, and even if something doesn’t work out, be able to say you truly gave it your best.

WRITTEN BY EVAGGELIA PAPAPASCHALI
In an era where beauty is increasingly connected to mindful care, the skin returns to a more natural rhythm. Not static, but cyclical—just like nature itself. Seasonal beauty rituals are not a trend, but a reminder that our skin changes, breathes, and adapts over time.
Spring is the season of renewal—and the skin senses it first. After winter, the complexion needs a “detox”: gentle exfoliation, lighter textures, and ingredients that enhance its natural glow. It’s the moment when heavier skincare layers are set aside, making room for fresh serums and lightweight moisturizers. A soft restart that restores radiance without excess.
Summer is synonymous with freedom—and the same applies to skincare. Rich creams give way to gel and watery textures that melt into the skin. Sun protection becomes a daily, non-negotiable ritual, while hydration remains essential. The skin seeks breathability, freshness, and minimal care that allows it to glow naturally in the light.

AUTUMN REPAIR MODE
WINTER SKIN PROTECTION MODE
Autumn marks a transitional moment for the skin. After sun exposure, it calls for repair and restoration. More nourishing formulas return, along with active ingredients that target renewal and evenness. It’s the season when skincare becomes more “targeted,” as if recalibrating the skin’s balance before winter.
Winter is the season of protection. Cold temperatures and dry air make the skin more vulnerable, calling for richer textures and enhanced nourishment. Balms, oils, and comfort creams create a protective barrier that locks in moisture. The routine becomes slower, more intentional— almost ritualistic.
SEASONAL BALANCE
The secret isn’t a perfect routine, but adaptation. The skin doesn’t need everything every day—it needs what suits the moment. By following the rhythm of the seasons, skincare becomes smarter, more natural, and ultimately more effective. Because true glow isn’t constant—it’s alive, just like our skin.

MINA AFENTOULI
INTERVIEWED BY
DRIVEN BY ART
We first came to love Anastasis Roilos in the TV series Agries Melisses, and we absolutely adored him in Dad, I Love You. Last summer, we applauded his performance as Orestes in Dimitris Tarlow’s Electra. This year, he returns to ancient drama in Aeschylus' The Persians.
Born and raised in Thessaloniki, he studied acting at the Department of Theatre of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). He has also trained in the methods of Theodoros Terzopoulos and Tadashi Suzuki in Toga, Japan.
With consistency, a powerful stage presence, and a performance style that balances intensity and sensitivity, Anastasis Roilos belongs to that class of actors who prove that when acting meets talent and hard work, it can truly become light.

How are you experiencing the success of the TV series Dad, I Love You?
We are very happy because the show was warmly embraced by the audience, and we love it just as much ourselves. Truth be told, I had been wanting to do something lighter, like a comedy-drama, for a long time. Generally speaking, as much as the audience wants to laugh, the actor wants to just as much. None of us three "dads" had ever done anything like this before. So, in a way, our desire and the audience's met.
We usually watch stories that focus mainly on mothers...
Perhaps the father figure isn't traditionally as closely associated with tenderness or humor. However, the interesting thing about this show is that the dad is presented exactly like that: affectionate, full of humor despite the difficulties he faces, and completely uninhibited when it comes to showing love and care to his children and his male friends.
The problems the show highlights are everyday and relatable, and the dad is called upon to manage them with humor and lightness. We didn't go into this with the mindset of "let's create a model father" through the show. Often, if that happens, it happens somewhat in spite of yourself. You just try to tell a story that carries as much truth and connection to reality as possible, and through that, certain elements emerge that ultimately touch people.
Did you expect that you would bond so deeply with young Iasonas, who plays your son, Viktor, in the series and that you would have such great chemistry?
That was perhaps the biggest surprise. When you meet a child, especially at such a young age, it takes time for them to open up. When Iasonas and I first met, he was quite reserved, which is only natural. During the casting, we realized he was a good, smart kid who would fit the part and do the job well. But how beautifully he would grow through the process and what a great talent he would evolve into - that was the biggest and most pleasant surprise.
Was the role of Dimitris a challenge for you, or did you step into his "shoes" easily?
In our case, the challenge is that you are acting alongside children. You approach and embody a role based on your perception, your tools, what you agree upon with the director, and the script the writer gives you. These are known and measurable factors, but they ultimately take a back seat when you are faced with the unpredictable variable of a five-year-old child.
Old-school actors used to say that if a child or an animal appears on stage, they "steal the show." Whether that was said with a sweet sense of acceptance or a bit of anxiety about being overshadowed, today, in the year 2026, with so much knowledge in the social and biological sciences, as well as in art, we have, or ought to have, the awareness and sensitivity to care about the child more than ourselves.
To be more specific, when the child finishes school and comes to the set, the entire crew will do everything in their power to accommodate the child and the parents; scenes will be postponed, some actors might leave without shooting their scenes, and so on. And they receive the exact same treatment from us.
In our scenes, it is far more important for the child to deliver, to act well, or, more accurately, to exist truthfully. After all, in a TV series where you have such young children with so many scenes, it wouldn't make sense to just have them recite their lines, as usually happens. In our show, the child isn't just a flashback or filler; they are 50% of the story. So, regarding what those old-school actors used to say, we actually try to create the conditions for the exact thing they feared to happen, we want the child to steal the show.
In what way has your journey so far shaped the way you approach each new role?
The biggest shift came from my contact with Japan, and meeting and collaborating with director Tadashi Suzuki. Generally speaking, I put work first. By that I mean I wouldn't go on a trip, as romantic as it might sound, just to get lost in a jungle, walk down certain alleys, or try a specific delicacy. So, when I went to Japan for work, I did do those things, but as part of an effort to understand the culture that shaped the man I went to apprentice under and whose book I went to translate.
For better or worse, other things don't move me as much. I was never a person who would travel for food. If I could take a pill and feel full, I would prefer it. Food has never been my primary motivation. So, I find other interests when I travel.
Apart from work, then, what is it that brings you joy?
In reality, food actually is one of them – not in the sense that I love trying new flavors, but because I love it for the moving, shared moments it brings me.
Like what?
Let me give you an example: in Toga, the village of Tadashi Suzuki, there is a collective of people who live together. They pretty much maintain the entire grounds by themselves – which include nine theaters, several houses, and guesthouses – and since 2019, they have been growing their own vegetables. There, the kitchen is run by one of the actresses, Chieko.
So in the summers, we sit with the team members and colleagues from all over the world and enjoy the food that this woman has prepared with so much care. Every time I visit, these meals are among the most special moments for me. Because in the end, it’s not the food itself that moves me the most, but the companionship. It’s the gathering of different people around a table, sharing the same meal.
I felt the exact same thing during my military service. In Karditsa, where I spent two months for training, mealtime had something almost sacred about it. There, under completely different circumstances, with people you seemingly have nothing in common with at first glance, something else would suddenly happen during meals; that’s where the bond within the group was forged. So ultimately, for me at least, the interest lies not in the food itself, but in the environment. Similarly in theater, ideally, you go for the connection and the sharing.
In what way does the theater "nourish" you, both as an actor and as a person?
Theater is fundamental food for the soul. The way I see it now at 38, no matter what job you do, when it's something you love and pursue, it never stops defining you. There is a catchphrase in this era of social media's fast-food philosophy that says "we are not our jobs," and I disagree with that. Every profession and I am obviously not referring to a temporary job you do just for the money, but to your science or your art which you have studied, practice, and dedicate time to beyond your scheduled working hours – shapes you, and you carry it with you constantly. At the same time, it serves society in some way.
Theater is not just the moment of the performance. The performance is the peak, but it is preceded by a long journey. It's just like in sports. For example, Miltos Tentoglou goes to make a jump in a competition, but what we see at that exact moment is only the tip of the iceberg; it is the result of a lifestyle. An immense amount of preparation has come before it.
Isn't that somewhat exhausting?
It isn’t exhausting, because by now it happens automatically.
Looking back at this twenty-year journey, what are the most meaningful changes you see in yourself?
I have a great ease in leaving the past behind. I look at where I am now, so I can't really list specific changes. What I do hold onto, though, is that up until today—after almost 20 years in this industry—I haven't felt my character get corrupted. I believe I maintain my values and, over time, I strengthen them. The "no's" or the "yes'es" I've said so far, as well as how I handled certain situations—despite the naivety of early youth at 20 and 25—ensured that I didn't participate in or support with my silence situations I didn't agree with. And in the end, I was vindicated, sometimes immediately, other times over the long run.
Are you referring to a specific incident?
The specific event doesn't matter; the human pattern does. When I didn't like something in a job or in the behavior of people, even those in positions of power (in theater, power is held by directors, producers, and theater managers), I would take a stand. While many times my colleagues, and especially older ones, had an attitude of "you don't push back here," I would say that if something doesn't suit me or I don't consider it right, I walk away. Back then, they told me that these choices would hurt my career. On the contrary, they did me good. Perhaps the only substantial change is that back then I did it with fear, whereas now I do it with confidence.
How do you handle the public exposure that comes with your job?
I have accepted the exposure, and honestly, to be doing this job, I probably must like it too, but on my own terms. The connection with the audience we talked about, which is invaluable to me, comes hand in hand with exposure. You can't have one without the other.
* Anastasis Roilos will continue in the TV series Dad, I Love You next season. This summer, he is participating in Aeschylus' The Persians, a co-production of the Athens Epidaurus Festival.

DIRECTOR @ COCO-MAT HOTEL NAFSIKA
EN My first contact with the hospitality industry began around the age of 16, when I worked as a waiter during the summers. Later on, together with my family, we opened a café in Monemvasia. At the age of 27, I moved to Athens. From that point onward, my professional path became more deeply connected to hospitality. Looking back, I feel that every previous experience helped me better understand the importance of care, communication, and genuine connection with guests.
I started as a waiter at Coco-Mat Athens, continued as a groom at Coco-Mat Jumelle, and later took on a more responsible position at the restaurant of Coco-Mat Athens BC. This transition through different roles gave me the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of the company’s philosophy and operations. In 2024 and 2025, together with my fiancée, Elli, we took over the management of the Coco-Mat hotel in Santorini. At the beginning of 2026, I assumed the position of Hotel Manager at Coco-Mat Hotel Nafsika, where I am responsible for the hotel’s daily operations, departmental coordination, and ensuring that every guest experiences the kind of hospitality that defines COCO-MAT: human, warm, and authentic.
The working atmosphere at Coco-Mat Hotel Nafsika is exceptionally warm and people-oriented. From the very first moment, I encountered a close-knit team that helped me feel truly part of the hotel’s daily life. What stands out to me the most is that the sense of hospitality is not directed only toward guests, but also exists among the members of the team itself.
I believe that Nafsika stands out because it successfully combines the feeling of a warm home with the quality of a carefully curated hotel experience. It is not an impersonal city hotel; it has character, familiarity, and an authentic sense of care that guests immediately recognize. COCO-MAT’s philosophy around quality sleep, natural materials, and authentic hospitality, combined with the hotel’s green surroundings, creates a truly unique experience.
My favorite area of the hotel is the shared courtyard spaces and the restaurant lounge. It is a warm and welcoming environment, ideal for a meal, a coffee, or even working in a peaceful setting. If I had to single out something truly unforgettable, it would be the way the hotel team welcomed me and made me feel like part of the team from the very first moment.
WRITTEN BY ELENI MICHAILIDOU

My first contact with hospitality came at a very young age. I grew up in a tourist destination where my parents owned a tavern, so from childhood I was surrounded daily by kitchens, waiters, and preparations. I would often help with the setup before service began and before heading down to the village square to play. I think that was when I first started to understand – without fully realizing it yet – the joy hidden within hospitality and in creating beautiful experiences for people.
I joined the team at Coco-Mat Athens BC in May 2023, starting as a waiter in the hotel’s restaurant. Today, I am involved in organizing events within the hotel’s spaces, a role that combines creativity, communication, and coordination. A very important part of my work is communicating with clients in order to fully understand the vision they have for their event and translate it to the departments responsible for bringing it to life. What interests me most is ensuring that each event develops its own unique identity and unfolds exactly as the people entrusting it to us have imagined it.
The working atmosphere at the hotel is especially familiar and welcoming. From the very beginning, you feel a sense of ease, as though you are working alongside people you have known for years. Even on the most demanding days, the team’s energy and collaboration make everyday life easier and more enjoyable.
This feeling of familiarity does not concern only the people working at the hotel; it also reaches the guests themselves. I believe this is exactly what makes Coco-Mat Athens BC stand out: its ability to offer the experience of a luxury hotel while maintaining the warmth and comfort one feels at home.
My favorite spot in the hotel is the restaurant area beside the waterfalls. On the days when the roof opens and sunlight filters through its openings, combined with the sound of the water, an atmosphere is created that makes you forget you are in the center of Athens. I will never forget the first event I organized entirely on my own. Seeing the joy of the people experiencing such an important moment exactly as they had imagined it filled me with great pride and genuine satisfaction in my work. That was the moment I realized how meaningful it is to contribute to creating memories that people will carry with them forever.
Five members of the Coco-Mat Hotels family share their personal stories and define the meaning of true hospitality.

EN
My journey in hospitality began in 2010, through my first experience in food and beverage service at restaurants in Mykonos. I later gained experience in the hotel industry as well, becoming more familiar with the demands of hospitality through the dynamic day-to-day life of the island.
I joined the team at Coco-Mat Hotel Athens in November 2025 and, within a short period of time, took on the role of maitre. Today, I am responsible for the smooth operation of the restaurant, the organization of breakfast service, and the coordination of the service team. What I enjoy most about my work is the direct interaction with guests and the opportunity to contribute to making their hotel experience truly special.
At Coco-Mat Hotel Athens, I feel there is an environment of professionalism, collaboration, and genuine respect among all departments. Team spirit and a shared passion for hospitality create a wonderful everyday atmosphere, and personally, I feel very happy to be part of this team.
I believe that what makes Coco-Mat Hotel Athens stand out is its combination of authentic hospitality, aesthetics, and quality. The emphasis on natural materials, the sense of comfort throughout the space, and its location in the heart of Kolonaki create an experience that feels both warm and contemporary.
My favorite spot in the hotel is the rooftop. Even though I see it every day, it continues to impress me each time with its view and atmosphere. It is a space I truly enjoy sharing with our guests.

My journey in hospitality began around ten years ago. From the very beginning, I was drawn to the multidimensional nature of the hotel industry – the intensity of daily operations, the need for immediate adaptability, and above all, the opportunity to help every guest feel special. Over the years, hospitality evolved for me from a professional choice into a meaningful form of expression.
I have been part of the COCO-MAT family for ten years, while I joined the team at Coco-Mat Athens Jumelle more recently. Today, I work both at Jumelle and at Coco-Mat Hotel Athens within the reservations and sales department. My daily responsibilities include reservation management, communication with guests and partners, sales strategy planning, and overseeing the guest experience from the very first stage of the booking process.
The work environment is characterized by collaboration, professionalism, and genuine teamwork. Although the demands within sales and reservations are particularly intense, there is always a spirit of support and collective effort in achieving the best possible result. Personally, I feel very positive about being part of this team. I believe that when a team operates harmoniously and with a shared vision, this naturally reflects in the experience ultimately offered to the guest.
What makes Coco-Mat Athens Jumelle stand out is its distinctive identity and the way it combines different elements in complete harmony. The hotel’s two buildings create a dialogue between neoclassical Athenian architecture and a more contemporary, modern character, resulting in an experience that feels both authentic and welcoming. At the same time, its hospitality philosophy is based on personalized experiences and attention to detail.
What stands out most to me about the hotel is the way the two buildings “communicate” with each other architecturally and aesthetically, creating an atmosphere of calmness, elegance, and authentic character. Among the moments that remain with me most strongly, I would not single out one specific occasion. The most meaningful moments are when a guest returns to the hotel or when I realize that proper guidance and communication from the booking stage contributed to creating a truly memorable stay experience.

DIRECTOR @ COCO-MAT HOTEL SANTORINI GR
My relationship with hospitality began in May 2018, when I became part of the Coco-Mat family as a groom at Coco-Mat Hotel Athens. From that very first experience, I understood how important it is to create a sense of care and familiarity for each guest.
In 2023, I joined the team at Coco-Mat Hotel Santorini as a front desk associate, and from the 2026 season onward, I took on the role of hotel director. This journey has been especially meaningful to me, as it gave me the opportunity to grow within the Coco-Mat family itself and gain a deep understanding of the hospitality philosophy it represents.
The working environment at Coco-Mat Hotel Santorini is one of the aspects I value most. We have built a team based on genuine collaboration, mutual support, and very positive energy. In such a fastpaced environment, especially during the season, I believe it is extremely important to maintain this sense of unity and positivity. I also believe our guests can feel this atmosphere through the experience they have at the hotel every day.
For me, what truly makes Coco-Mat Hotel Santorini unique is its location. The hotel is situated on the Caldera, overlooking Santorini’s iconic sunset, while at the same time offering peace and distance from the island’s intensity and crowds. This balance creates a sense of serenity that is difficult to find elsewhere.
My favorite spot in the hotel remains the reception area. It is an open space with a view of the sea that offers me a sense of calm even on the most demanding days. One of the moments I remember most vividly was when I escorted a young couple to one of the hotel’s cave-style rooms. When the woman saw the room – especially the balcony and its breathtaking view – she was left speechless and moved to tears. It was an unexpected reaction that deeply moved me as well.

GR Guests are impressed by its presence and often take photos of it, while also asking staff about its role.
Since the end of 2025, a new operational support assistant has been introduced at Coco-Mat Athens BC and Coco-Mat Hotel Athens: the robot Xenia, designed to enhance daily hotel operations and improve the overall guest experience. Its primary function is to handle practical tasks such as delivering amenities to rooms and fulfilling room service orders in a fast, organized, and efficient manner.
Its operation is based on an autonomous navigation system. It receives instructions from hotel staff and then carries out delivery routes independently, moving through the building with precision. It is able to call the elevator, select the correct floor, and navigate to the assigned room without human intervention. On each route, it can serve up to two different rooms, helping optimize time efficiency and improve operational coordination.
Upon arriving outside a room, it triggers a notification process by calling the in-room telephone to inform the guest of its arrival. After the delivery of items or orders is completed, it automatically returns to its charging and standby station.
Before leaving the floor, Xenia activates an interactive feature, inviting guests to take a photo with it, adding a more friendly and “human” touch to the service experience.
In addition, Xenia has been designed with a strong focus on sustainability and energy efficiency. It consumes minimal power per route and operates with the aim of reducing environmental impact, aligning with a modern, eco-conscious approach to hotel operations.

Historical and cultural venues, festivals, and performances that highlight the cultural identity of Athens.

The Acropolis is the most iconic monument of Athens; an imposing rocky hill that rises above the city and hosts some of the most significant masterpieces of ancient Greek architecture. At its summit, visitors encounter temples and monuments that narrate the story of classical Athens, the most renowned being the Parthenon, dedicated to the goddess Athena.

The Temple of Olympian Zeus is one of the most impressive ancient temples in Athens, dedicated to Zeus. The temple stands as a symbol of power and grandeur from both the Hellenistic and Roman periods and is located southeast of the Acropolis, very close to the historic centre of the city.
The Roman Forum is one of the most beautiful archaeological sites in the centre of Athens, once the heart of the commercial life of the Roman city. It was established during the Roman period as a centre for trade and commerce and was later expanded by Emperor Hadrian. Today, it offers a peaceful stroll through history in the heart of Athens.

TEMPLE
The Temple of Hephaestus, also known as the Thiseio, is one of the bestpreserved ancient temples in Athens and a true “gem” of the Ancient Agora. Dedicated to Hephaestus and Athena Ergane, it stands prominently on the hill of Agoraios Kolonos.
Built in the 5th century BC in the Doric style, it offers a remarkable glimpse into classical Athens. Over the centuries, it also served as a church, a fact that greatly contributed to its exceptional preservation to this day.

Plaka is the most historic and picturesque neighbourhood of Athens, built right beneath the Acropolis. It is filled with narrow alleyways, neoclassical houses, and monuments that reflect both the ancient and modern history of the city. As one of the few areas continuously inhabited since antiquity, today it remains a vibrant district with museums, traditional tavernas, and charming small shops. Hidden among its quiet corners, visitors will also discover Anafiotika, a tiny Cycladic-style enclave in the heart of the city.

ACROPOLIS MUSEUM
The Acropolis Museum is a modern archaeological museum dedicated to the findings from the Acropolis of Athens. It houses artefacts spanning from the Geometric to the Roman and Byzantine periods, all closely connected to the sacred rock of the Acropolis. Opened in 2009 and located next to the Acropolis itself, it offers a unique experience that creates a direct “link” between the museum and the archaeological site.

The National Gallery is the most important visual arts museum in Greece, based in Athens. Founded in 1900, it hosts the country’s largest collection of modern Greek art, covering works from the postByzantine period to the present day. Closely associated with the National Glyptotheque, it stands as one of the city’s key cultural landmarks, housing thousands of artworks that narrate the evolution of Greek artistic creation.

One of the most important cultural institutions in Athens that is well worth visiting is the Benaki Museum, which encompasses collections covering Greek history and art from antiquity to the modern era. It was founded in 1930 by Antonis Benakis as a donation in memory of his father. It is housed in a historic neoclassical building in Kolonaki, while today its collections are also presented across multiple thematic venues throughout the city.
GOULANDRIS MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART
The Goulandris Museum of Contemporary Art is one of the most important contemporary art museums in Athens and hosts the major private collection of Basil and Elise Goulandris. It opened in 2019 in the Pangrati district, just a few steps away from the Panathenaic Stadium. Inside its spaces, visitors can explore works of modern and contemporary art by leading international artists, housed in one of the city’s most modern cultural buildings.

MUSEUM OF CYCLADIC ART
The Museum of Cycladic Art is one of the most distinctive museums in Athens, dedicated to Cycladic civilization and its famous marble figurines dating back to the 3rd millennium BC. It houses one of the most comprehensive collections of Cycladic art in the world and offers a calm, modern setting for those who wish to experience ancient art through a contemporary perspective.

LYKAVITTOS
Mount Lycabettus is one of the most well-known hills in Athens and the ideal spot for a panoramic view of the city. At its summit, you will find the small chapel of Saint George and one of the most beautiful locations to watch the sunset. Standing at approximately 277 metres, it is the second-highest point in Athens, easily accessible either by cable car or on foot. The hill is also home to the Lycabettus Theatre, an openair concert venue that has hosted major names from the international music scene.

NATIONAL OBSERVATORY OF ATHENS
Philopappou Hill is an ideal location for a relaxed walk surrounded by greenery, with scenic paths and views that “embrace” the city of Athens. At its summit stands the Philopappos Monument, dedicated to the Roman benefactor Gaius Julius Antiochus Philopappos, from whom the hill takes its name. Together with its connection to the Pnyx and the Hill of the Nymphs, it is one of the most beautiful spots from which to admire Athens.
The National Observatory of Athens is the first research centre of modern Greece, operating since 1842. KUZINA:
KUZINA: DINING WITH A VIEW AT THE MOST ICONIC SPOT IN THE CITY
There are restaurants that simply serve food, and then there are those that create experiences. Kuzina clearly belongs to the latter. With a breathtaking rooftop view of the Acropolis, the Temple of Hephaestus, and the iconic Athenian light, it offers a unique setting that blends authentic gastronomy with an unparalleled location.
At the heart of this experience, from day one, is the distinguished chef Aris Tsanaklidis, who masterfully combines Greek ingredients with Asian and Mediterranean touches, achieving a unique creative harmony between fusion and comfort cuisine.
The ground-floor space balances understated luxury with a sense of warmth, where materials seem to tell their own stories: earthy tones, wood, and white marble surround the open kitchen and the bar that invites you to enjoy a drink without a second thought.
Meanwhile, the restaurant’s eclectic music is curated by Thodoris Giannopoulos, daily radio producer at Galaxy 92.
Kuzina is not just a restaurant recognized by the Michelin Guide and frequently featured on international lists for its outstanding views (yes, even by the BBC). It is a place that truly loves the city—and the city loves it back. And that is something worth experiencing again and again.

There are places that don’t belong to just one season. Destinations that invite you to the sea in summer, yet draw you toward the warmth of the mountains, stone-built squares, and their most authentic side in winter. From Zagori villages and Pelion to Nafplio and Crete, Greece reveals a different version of itself in every season—without ever losing its character. Let’s discover them

Nafplio is a destination that maintains its charm all year round, always preserving its uniqueness. In winter, it moves at a calmer, more romantic pace, with the old town ideal for relaxed strolls through narrow alleys around Syntagma Square Nafplio. In summer, however, the scene changes completely: the sea takes center stage, nearby beaches come alive, and the historic center fills with vibrant nightlife, cafés, tavernas, and walks along the harbor until late. While in Nafplio, it’s worth visiting Palamidi Fortress for its breathtaking views over the city and the Argolic Gulf, as well as Bourtzi Castle, the town’s iconic landmark.

ZAGORI VILLAGES: LANDSCAPES THAT CHANGE WITH THE SEASONS
In spring and summer, the Zagori villages reveal their most vibrant side. Hillsides turn lush green, rivers flow stronger, and trails open up for exploration in a landscape that feels almost untouched. Nature dominates, inviting hiking, walks across stone bridges, and immersion in a “wild” yet lively environment. In winter, the scenery transforms completely. Stone villages are covered in snow and sink into quiet serenity. Smoke from fireplaces and the slow rhythm of daily life create a setting that feels timeless—inviting you to pause and stay a little longer.

In Crete, light, sea, and a vibrant extroverted energy define the island. Beaches become the heart of the experience, with landscapes shifting between endless blue and lively summer scenes. Yet, venturing inland reveals another side: toward the White Mountains Crete or Mount Psiloritis, where the terrain grows more rugged and authentic, with small villages, local tavernas, and nature routes that showcase a different, more grounded version of Crete.
Meteora stands out from the very first moment, with towering rock formations rising dramatically and monasteries perched atop them as if defying gravity. The atmosphere is calm yet powerful, filled with a sense of awe that follows you at every step. Exploring among the rocks and monasteries, such as Varlaam Monastery and Great Meteoron Monastery, reveals their unique architecture and deep historical significance, while opening panoramic views across the landscape. As the light changes, the rock formations take on an even more dramatic presence, turning the scenery into an almost cinematic experience.

Pelion is one of those rare destinations where two worlds coexist: mountain and sea. Dense forests, stone-built villages, and panoramic views blend with Aegean beaches that feel almost unexpected. If you visit Pelion, explore villages like Makrinitsa and Tsagarada, where stone mansions and cobbled paths set a traditional rhythm. On warmer days, a swim at Fakistra Beach or Mylopotamos Beach is truly rewarding.
